Turtle Wax is already very good so I don't think you need to even try Meguiars unless it's free. Of the list, I would go with Autoglym. Too bad it's hard to find 'em on local stores. Any chance the Club can source for Autoglym at bulk prices for members?

Just a few questions.
1. What is your benchmark ?
2. Do you have a controlled environment for benchmarking ?
3. Does anyone really use so many products ?
4. How do you gauge
- Shine (?)
- Durability (?)
- Ease of use (?)
- Difference it makes (?)

I don't mean any disrespect. It's very open to debate what this thread starter (bmwlover) is asking. There are always 2 face to a coin. It's good that there will be debating on how well each particular product is working and how much challenge another brand is prodiving to the market.

One thing i learn and my limited experience tells me that a proper application method of a product is more important then the product itself (I would say about 70% method and 30% product). Nowadays the competition in the market is so great that almost all products will work based on its claims. Only when the wrong application method is applied then consumers would start to shoot that certain brand for being well ..... not user friendly or doesn't do what it claims.

Just my cheap cheap 2 sen only.

The new range of Turtle Wax - Platinum and ICE series are pretty good.

Cheers

Bros ,
Had been using Permaglass for a while . Quite happy with it .
Easy one step application & reasonably long lasting ~ 2 months .

U r absolutely right, Spidey! Far too often hv I seen threadstarters ask for the "best" without stating the benchmark. I can't for the life of me figure out in what way/ how they mean by the "best". I guesss some ppl just dunno how to ask -just my 2cents 2!

I would say, 50% is the product and the other 50% is the correct application of the product itself. Buying the polish/wax is one thing. but also you need to get the correct applicator.

Most of the products in the market is so close in quality to each other in a certain price range that frankly, for the love of detailing, it's not really that easy to differentiate between each other.
Most of the time if not all of the time, users tend not to read fully the instructions that come with the product and end up, cursing and swearing at the product. Well, I did that before either ... LoL
