How much to replace drive shaft?

My e46 just passed its 100,000km mileage. I read in the forum that once you pass the 100,000 km, you most likely need to replace the drive shaft. This was confirmed by my friend after he heard the sound the car make every time i turn the steering wheel.My question is how much would it cost to replace the drive shaft?

bro, BMW is rear wheel drive. you have sound when turning the steering wheel is probably caused by steering rack, coupling, arm or bushes.

Unless if the sound comes from the rear, then it's a different story.

Even so the driveshaft makes funny sound, you would prolly replace the couplings or bushings, not the shaft itself imho.
