But its different between 'waiting a while' and 'freezes up'.MSport867 said:Bro....spoke to SA @ ABKL you need to wait a while before you change frm comfort mode to sport mode....as sussy needs time to change (eventhough it is electronic)..
Welcome to the forum bro - glad you still love your ride despite the issues.TypeReza said:New 328i Msport Owner here.... :67: :67:
Got my estoril blue earlier of the month....my first beemer this one (from a VW golf GTI MK6) and the move was great no doubts.
AFter 2k km clocked....(yet to tail happy it at Bukit Tinggi / Genting) but its kinda frustrating to experience these few probs
1) 'Drivetrain Mulfuction warning message pops up - Continue the journey at a moderate speed, Full performance not available. Have problem checked at Service'
Happened while whacking it a lil at North South highway. Was doing around 190km/h and RPM was around 6k when suddently it gave a jerk and the message popped out...car vibrates until i pulled over for gas...restart the engine and everything was back to normal. Couldnt even find the error code as Vehicle Status indicated everything was in order. Whacked it again on Duke Highway (Might as well) and everything seems allright. Called Jln Tun Razak AB service centre and they hooked me up for a check this coming WEd
2) Steering noise from inside the car when turning (some squeaking sound coming from the steering wheel casing - hopefully!)
Now this shouldnt happen on a 300k vehicle isnt it??!
3) Rattling on doors
I could accept in on my VW GTi but i wasnt expecting this on a beemer. :102:
Other than that...am loving every single bits of the car...(hopefully it stays that way or ill just look forward to switch brands if this one fails me
Cheers and happy holidays to all. Selamat Hari Raya to the ones celebrating. Drive safe (even tho ur driving it like its stolen) :71:
Hi bro thanks for your update...looks like the dealer is doing a fine job for your ride which is good. I too agree that we should claim warranty for any issues since our warranty period is the shortest in the industry.....TypeReza said:Hi all....just to share on the updates on my ride (after all complains being given and my car spent a night in AB Jalan Tun Razak)
1) No parts needed to be changed. Just a software update and it shouldnt be happening again
2) Steering was taken out and the internals was lubed - problem solved...no more 'Cheap' sounds
3) Body Tape inserted - apparently the 'clear' appearance tape cost around RM1k per roll brought in via BMW Germany. Tape is not always available so i suggest whoever has this rattling prob get it done during servicing ur ride.
**** I added another complain...squeaking sounds from front (at first i thot it was the suspension) during certain turning angles (can be heard if your driving in the basement carpark with the windows down). They discovered that the steering rack was faulty so they are ordering a brand new one for my ride. Will need at least 2 weeks for the parts to be in (so i collected the car first) and will schedule to get it replaced maybe together with my first service. SA informed that the steering rack will cost RM15k !!! if warranty period has ended.....and he also said that the problem is quite common for F30's...so guys...wind down ur windows and listen for the squeaks...SA was very helpful and polite (luckily...wanted to just flip when i arrived yesterday)
