wow... and 08 unreg imports from UK are asking for 100k more... why is that?

hahahha.... beats me bro..... best you check with the SA who is handling the sale.....

Off topic from the gorgeous m3, but is it normal at startup to see a lil white smoke puff out? I just realized this because I happened to be checking myself out at the rear view mirror..lol

Yes, its quite normal, bro. Don't worry. Enjoy the diesel rocket! And Vector it to make it REALLY fly!!! Plug n play in 5 minutes! That easy!

Thanks docrayboy! Got worried a little..vector I scared cuz I really worried bout tampering with my BRSI..can the SA detect piggybacks? Also thinking of changing air filter n exhaust but warranty just scares me too much

Lemme list down the problems I have so far...

1) speakers & amp mediocre and CANNOT be upgraded without invalidating your warranty
2) idrive intermittently won't recognize iPod classics & iPhone 4. Tried a couple of iPods with different cables. Yet to report.
3) diesel power kit upgrade was 'faulty' so waiting for a replacement ECU.
4) whistling sound from top of windscreen right at the rear view mirror at speeds of 120-140km/h. Fixed by quill. Sofarsogood.
5) scratched front bumper onto a kerb - the sensors didn't pick it up - too low for sensors but too high for bumpers. Resprayed.

do share the cost as well. thks bro.

they cannot detect it.....unplug it before u go servicing yr car...

So u have the vector in ur car? Amidst all the power talk I think I will upgrade my brakes before power cuz safety first before going the direction of power madness..heh

Guys, what would be the option for brake upgrade beside the yummy yellow banana huhu..i mean the bmw perfomance brake..mine is nearly 60k..replaced the rear brake pad under bsri..hope will get the front replace as well during my last bsri very soon..

The "breaking" power is deteriorating!

Yes you should be able to change the air filter but I think that's cover under BSRI no? I am not going to spend on it until my BSRI is over :D

If you do find K&N air filters for the 320d in Malaysia in stock please let us know, I've pinged a few and none of them carry that particular model.

Was quoted around the 5-6k..guess I can get a better price once I confirm my order with em..they even offered to spray my rear calipers yellow lol..tempting especially after a rim upgrade..calipers naked exposure

Vector Tuning Digital Diesel Box - Made in Germany!

One of the top digital tuning box proven globally

Put simply, the output increase is achieved by changing the quantity of fuel injected and the ignition time. In contrast to boxes in the low-price range, there is no change made to the turbocharge pressure, nor is the engine temperature "distorted". ..

All our boxes work exclusively via microprocessors, i.e. they are capable of “learning”. Our technology adapts to the driver’s individual driving style. In addition, all our boxes possess the so-called “jumper technique”. This means that the vehicle owner can change the output of the box himself/herself in a matter of seconds. In general, the power increase will be between 20-30%.

Install

InsINsta

Installed in less than 10min!

All Vector Tuning box comes with specific program and wire harness ready to plug into your original plugs. NO WIRE CUTTING and easily reversible. Good for vehicle under warranty as it can be removed by owners easily.

FAQ

How does the performance tuning work?

Our performance tuning box picks up the signal from the fuel system and control unit, optimizes it and then sends the modified values to the diesel pump. The adustments are controlled via microprocessors in the interior of the box in miliseconds. In short, it is optimizing the fuel quantity and atomization to improve combustion. Hence more power!

The box increases output. Does it also increase fuel consumption?

Fuel consumption is reduced in the vast majority of cases provided that the original driving style is maintained. To attain a further reduction in fuel consumption, we recommend you fit a sport air filter. Doing this, you also give your vehicle “a bit more air”. The exhaust gas levels of the optimized vehicle do not change.

Will my vehicle then give off a lot more fumes?

No. Only in the case of poorly fine-tuned electronics can increased particulate emissions arise. This cannot happen with our electronics with digital technologies.

Will the maximum speed change?

The performance tuning offered by us is designed for a torque and maximum output boost in the lower and middle speed ranges. Nevertheless, maximum speed is increased in practically all vehicles, since the torque is also increased here. The increase amounts to approx. 5-15 km/h depending on the vehicle.

Can the change be noticed externally?

No. But the output can naturally be measured, e.g. on the test stand. It can’t, however, be read from the electronics, nor via a diagnostic instrument.

Will the car have a shorter service life after the alteration?

The performance tuning is tuned in such a way so that none of the limit values of the vehicle or the engine and all related components are exceeded. Although the performance increase can be very clearly felt by the driver, our boxes work constantly in the power reserves of the engine parts and add-on parts. Extra servicing jobs on the engine are not necessary. Only if you are driving in a constantly ‘sporty’ style will you need to change the oil every 10,000 km.

Why doesn’t the manufacturer just set the vehicle to the optimal value?

The manufacturer builds a car for the global market. In other countries, the fuel often doesn't correspond to our quality norm. Furthermore, continuous running at extreme heights can impair combustion. These, of course, are characteristics that do not have to be taken into account in Europe. The manufacturing tolerance can also be a factor. When the vehicle is on the test stand after production, the output might have to be boosted somewhat. That’s why tolerances are necessary.

Quill applied sum windscreen glue onto the rubber strip. Respray cost slightly less than 700 at quill also. Ingress quoted 800+

RM300 in lelong.com.my but in USA half price

for petrol car it really cut the fuel consumption with long distance, but not sure for hp increament, no feel at all.
normal air filter can do 300km half tank, with K&N filter can do 320km half tank.

tried it on your 320d, doc?

fell in love with the magic stick!
the ride seems more eager to go after switching back to D....
