Help! Funny suspension.. and wondering how much to replace them?

Hey folks, I'm experiencing some "weird" problems with my 7 series (735i). I drove over a huge porthole the other day and now the rear left suspension has been lowered. I noticed that after driving for a while, the car will automatically level itself. And then it will go back to its lowered state. :stupid: When I sent the car to the dealer, they said the hydraulics were ruined and it will cost me around 5k to buy a pair of rear suspension. The question I want to ask is, isn't the price quoted too pricey? I thought it will set me back around 3-4k... Just asking, in case these folks are trying to swindle me. Heheh. Please, if anyone knows a good place where they quote a lower price for the rear suspension.. Please let me know where and the contact number too. Thanks!

Just to confirm, is your 7-series bought from local BMW authorised dealer or parallel importer?? Warranty period still valid??? If still under warranty, you may be able to negotiate with the dealer for lower replacement cost... depends on your rapport with the dealer and persuasion skill...

I've got a fren driving another marque who has changed most wear and tear parts for his ride under warranty or with discounted rates... Doesn't help that he drives the car like he stole it.. But it does help that he's a good salesman in his field..

However, self-leveling suspension system doesn't come cheap. RM5k for a pair doesn't seem all that unbelievable..
