Headlight bulb burnt?

I got the message "low beam failure" on my e36 recently. Then changed the right headlight bulb with Philips one. Cost me Rm40. Then yesterday same message and the same bulb is not working again.How to solve this problem?

Was it actually the bulb or wiring? Could be shorting somewhere in the headlight.

Our cars being the age that it is, both my highbeam's bulb holders no longer sits properly on the back of the reflector. Used some silicone sealant to glue them in space again.

open and dismantle the headlight, usually the wire inside might brittle
