Good workshop...bad workshop

maybe what would be advisable is listing out all the workshops that normally handle conti's mainly bmw.

name and their location or details...

then later maybe we can have some kind of vote... :nyehehe:

I think it's individual preference to select it own workshop and so, as long

he or she's Happy.

If you're being cheated it's ya own mistake lorrr ... always seek for a quote

from 2 or 3 different w-shops and decide by yourself or perhaps seek

some one's advice before doing so....

we already have a list of Workshops we go here is good enough....

What if you're a Mechanic ? can you satisfy all needs from your customers?

Hmm... well okay fine , what about a dishonest workshop messing around with our money ??

Seriously though all businesses by all means should make money after all they do provide a service and by all means entitled to be paid fairly for it , but I think there were several cases recently of people feeling cheated by the workshops.

Though granted we don't know the full details of the case so I thought a poll would give us a better overview of what our members think of certain workshops.

No doubt some of us would say a workshop is great but there will be others that say they felt cheated. So say if 90% say they felt they would recommend a workshop and 10% say otherwise, overall , it is still a recommended workshop by most of the members here.

I don't think the members here are stupid enough that just because 1 out of 9 people here don't recommend a workshop , they should not go there at all. After all you just can't please everyone right ?

It is not like we will have only one workshop recommended, we will have several which would benefit members of this club on the whole.

In a workshop is not only have one mechanics....
The boss also don't hope to have the bad mechanic one right ???

The boss will continue business, mechanic need to work for living will come & go sometimes... So They are oldbies & newbies in the workshop all the time....

If you guys feel that the workshop should be in the blacklisted...
Then why not u guys just bring in your car to Auto Bavaria ??
Thats BMW specialist with a BIG BIG BMW logo & building.... :lol: :lol:

Unauthorized BMW workshop usually open by BMW specialist whois full of experience in BMW service previously....
But not all mechanics outside, so they need more experience to learn.... i'm just telling truth...because each Manufacturer Authotized workshop did send mechanics for specialist training, thats why they can be Specialist...

Ok, as i work for Cycle & Carriage... We have that specialist training as well.... & yet i still seeing alot of incident which bring back lawyer letter... u just couldn't imagine how thick it is... :getyourfactsright:

Outside workshop doing the job for u with lower price... then we have to be lilttle bit compromise with it also lol... h34r:

whatever it is... just talk to them nicely for the problems they did to you... i believe the gentlemen don't wish to make their own workshop name become worst...right or not ???
they will definately solve it for you when problems occured...

so why need to blacklisted them ?? just make the thread which telling ur bad experience so that others member will aware the parts usually give problems when they come to service... issn't it thats better ???

yala.. wondering why ar.. when part shop asking which model u looking for... when u mention BMW... they;ll said.. OH BMW AH.. VELI EXPENSIVE oh... oh my gosh.... in my experience buying parts, price its actually same for those normal part we need for the engine...
but becoz of the word BMW then the price will increase !! haha

Ah but we are not going to blacklist anybody. We only have a list of recommended workshop, those not on the list just means that they are not on the list either because no members have gone there before or have gone there before but the members didn't say anything.

As you said something will go wrong to some people regardless of how good the training etc is. So I doubt if any workshop will have a score of 100% for any extended period of time.

no one is perfect... car is something which wear and tear all the time especially engine suspension.... no one can tells whats going to happening after unless the car is WELL maintained....

even with the BIG BMW LOGO, there is a lot of things left desired. We've heard storied from those who go and have been there (I've not). For the price you pay, they could do better.

I've been to better shops in the US and they don't charge an arm and leg. A simple example is Pep Boys. Clean, professional and excellent service. They can service any car.

There are good shops in KL but since Malaysia is so darn terrible when it comes to customer service, they are not perfect. Also, when it comes to prices of parts, it's usually not their doing, it's the supplier (spare parts shops).

alrite the idea of this post was to allow the UDM experts have their say and recommend some reputable workshops. not exactly whats transpiring here...more like an academic debate on which workshop is better.

How about just a list of workshops that come highly recommended. If you recommend it then just put the workshop name down...I'll compile the votes at the end of the day. when is that? I don't know but it sure beats the hell out of bickering about which workshop is better or whose feelings we are gonna hurt. Honestly, if a workshop did a good job, then just recommend it..everyone should be entitled to their opinion and relate their experience.

Of course we will differ in opinion on the same workshop from one car owner to another....but the point is...would u actually recommend it to a friend of yours? I say just put the name down and let the judging be done by us who will take your advice in the future.

I agree with you donkz36 dude. It would be great if we can have a list of places (mechanics) that are available out there in Malaysia and I can tell you this, it sure is helpful for someone like me. I sure know where to go in the US but in Malaysia, i have no clue where to go and what is recommended. Never like Pep Boys (affan36) for any car services but will go for the detailing merchandise thou. But I think I did went in once to replace the dang battery. AutoZone is not that bad either...Missed it
