Bix, if you plan to send to the same garage, maybe we can go there together.

Mate, that will be terrific. I'll PM you my number. Cheers...

Hi guys,

For those of you who have been following this thread, remember that my airbag light came on again some weeks back? Well, I got it fixed today. The error message was easily erased under the Inspection 1 checking. I was keeping my fingers crossed that the message could be erased and no any other things (e.g. seat belt tensioner) that need replacing. Oh yeah, I went back to the same workshop which solved the problem the 1st time. I think probably could be the bottle of mineral water which rolled under the seat and triggered the wiring of the airbag system. Or it could be when I/ or the passenger adjusted the seat.

I do not know what caused the airbag light to come on, but I suspected it was the small mineral water bottle rolling under the seat which triggered the wiring. So, a word of advice, be mindful of the stuff you have in the backseats.

Bix, I will PM you the contact number of the workshop. You can let them check your problem with the car.

Cheers.

Dear Russie and all,

I'm writing this to share a solution to a similar problem that I had. In the beginning, I did the on wheel balancing as Russie had suggested. It was a good move but that still didn't solve the problem. I wanted to send my mom's car to Russie's suggested garage but didn't cos time didn't permit.

Anyway, the car is fine now and it had got to do with the front left sensor of the ABS. Replaced it with a new one and drove South to JB at a speed of 160 - 180 KM/H and the car is fine. No more vibration and no more ABS light. It used to come out quite often.

Mate, Thanks for the suggestion. If it does come out again, then I'll definitely head to the place you mentioned.

Bix,

I am glad that you've solved the ABS light problem. But this thread of mine is on "airbag light" :) got confused eh?

lol... Right, right. Indeed, I'm confused. There was another thread that I subscribe to which involves ABS. You've just reminded me of the airbag and why I've forgotten about it cos I had the warning light switched off. (Bad thing to do).

I guess I still have a task to do to get the airbag light fixed. Hahha.. Sorry about it. Cheers...

1 November 2008,

The airbag light came back again  it happened after i drop a bunch of keys onto the gap of the front passenger seat, had no choice but to use a wire to hook out the keys. I guessed somehow the wire touched on the airbag cable underneath the seat? Hm...have to send in and ask workshop to reset this error code again. Sigh

I noticed the airbag sensor cables/ wires under our seats are quite exposed, so have to be careful when adjusting the seat and make things don't fall under the seat guys.

Nikrazali: U got a PM.

DD: U know him eh? I think he knows u too :) Give him a call if he's an old friend.

Blackrobe: The total bill was at RM3x0, would still be cheaper than changing a SBT.

Today I tried my car on NKVE, yeah the response of the car has relatively improved. The 1st kick down was achieved around 3000 to 3500 rpm which I did not activate the kick down switch. Will try to observe this again the next time I rev on highway.

Cheers

Wa lau!!!, i did myself and it cost only time and sweats..., this also increase my knowledgessss alot.. mine problem was the EVIL jumper TXD link to ground??? ha ha ahaha
my AB light never came out anymore!!!!,
i suggest you go to the dealler and get the airbag module to recode .
mine was solved without recode workss.

NOTE:
the criminal/terrorist or what ever evil conspiracy was real happening in the SHADOW...,
everybody must be very smart and cautious!!!

it was not the workshop false (they dunno what happend), because the bug was integrated inside the car

look the attachment, my instrument cluster show no ERROR!!!, no AB light!!!

mine got the same problem too, is it the airbag no more function since the airbag light on?

Hi guys,

Just wanna share something here. Previously the airbag light on my car is ON all the time. Did check with 1 workshop and they told me the seat belt tensioner needs to be changed. Would probably cost around RM600- RM700 per unit.

Today, I went to one workshop and they managed to fix the problem for me (thanks to Lee36328 for the contact). It was some wiring problems beneath the front seats. They dismantled my seats and fixed the problem. Now the airbag light is off after the engine is started. I hope this problem is cleared and would not come back and haunt me :)

Besides fixing the airbag problem, they also cleaned my AFM and ICV and did some tuning to my ride. Now the car feels more responsive and I don't have to activate the "kick down switch" for normal over-taking (what I tried was released the gas pedal and step on it again and the gear change engaged, then I was told to kick down another time and then the kick down switch was activated).

So if any of you out there having this airbag light ON problem too, do get a 2nd opinion from other workshops before changing the SBT.

Cheers

need some info on this, mine needs this urgently, will be great if you could share some details and pricing on this.. thanks much

Actually bro to clean the MAF is very easy it's the cleaner that is so hard to get ... CRC MAF Sensor cleaner i've checked with ACE hardware and few other hardware shop and the only thing that they have is the CRC contact cleaner which i have heard that it can still be used to clean our MAF sensor but i reckon if there is a tool/proper chemical solution to clean our MAF why take the risk ... Does anyone know where can get this elusive CRC MAF cleaner???

YES the AB module no more function if the light was ON..,
the AB computer detect short-circuit??, abnormal current??, AB activated??,
abnormal signal.., it was automatic temporally disable by AI logic computer..,
the AB-module did not damage but need to solve the problem and clear the DTC error to
recover the AB module function... :top:
