Hi Guys,Just want to share a recent good experience I had at Bluegreen Motorwerks.I have an E36 325i, running a 5 speed ZF Transmission. After going to another mechanic and replacing my gearbox fluid earlier in the year, the dreaded trans program light appeared on my dashboard one evening. Naturally, I panicked and started expecting the worst ($$$$$$$$ !!!!)So after checking around a few places, I went to BG Motorwerks and got them to drop the gearbox. Upon opening up the gearbox and examining it, the guys advised me that the damage was minimal; one of the F-drums was gone, the standard clutches and solenoids, etc. would have to be replaced. Thankfully, the damage to the gearbox was not extensive, as I brought the car in at the early stages itself. My final bill for the gearbox rebuild itself, including all the parts was RM 2,800! I was very surprised!2 other places quoted me: RM 4,500 (gearbox repair kit & labour only; would not have included my F-drum) & RM 5,000 - 6,000 (blind quote). It has been about a month since the rebuild and the car is running smooth. I went back in for a subsequent g/b fluid change and am happy with the job done. I appreciate the fact that they did not simply change all the parts. They examined each and every component and checked to see the parts which were good and can be used in the long run. Another mechanic who handled my car before, replaced many parts of my engine and did not solve my problem. I just thought that it would be good for folks to know that there are still good mechs out there who do not cheat people and take the time to explain things to us.Hope this helps you guys.Cheers!
