Need help on my e36 320i m50.

Hello,I'm newbie with BMW. Got my e36 320i M50b20 manual ORIGINAL (stated by previous owner)I'm having this problem with my gearbox. Mostly in the morning after cold start I put in the 1st gear. When I release the clutch the is tendency to jump off the neutral. Or traffic light when engage 1st gear it will jump back to neutral. But not everytime. But once a while only. Check with my mech 1 say gearbox Sudah kong Liao. 1 say dunno wat selector kong. 1 say clutch kong. Seems like something kong. And then mech says this gearbox parts Susah dapat. Another mech friend say straight buy 325 gearbox. Walau. So what u guys suggest??

aiyoo....it think your mechanic kong liao....

this may be due to your gear selector linkage wear.for manual boxes,the linkages wear over time.do you have excessive wear at the gear lever?i wud check the easier and cheaper things first.gear linkages can be bought by comparing models such as the e28 and e30 linkages to see if they can be used,swapped or modified.otherwise you can buy off ebay...gud lak bro....

sky kid ... i'm no sifu here ...but if can try to check on ya clutch pump ... or the shifter pins which are located in your box ...

just sharing...
normally manual gb there is alot of linkage joint just above the gb where the gear lever seat...
either 1st up 2nd down then flick to right for 3rd up 4th down and last the 5th also for reverse gear...
all this connection normally there is bush and pins...
so may be all the bush are loose or ever broken...
so do some inspection to all this moving parts...
After inspection found out this bush and pins are in good condition...
then move on to the clutch servo pump check for any leaking...
then the clutch plate wear and tear...
all ok may be the synchronizer inside...

p/s also happened during reversing???
when is the last Gb fluid change???

my 3 cents...may be wrong...

thanks for sharing.. sending my car for real check up..

it only happens on my 1st gear only others is no problem at all.. just sometimes its kinda hard for me to engaged the 1st gear also.
my gb fuild change on may 2012
