Hey guys, any of you did 'glass coating' on your car? I heard from these Gzox guys its the future of coating your car instead of traditional polishing...

http://www.gzox.com.my/about.html

Read about this the other day in one of our local auto mag. Also in one of the local avid car detailing blog. Wondering the same question

Anyone has personal experience with this product? Installed it and used for an extended period of time? I want to find out more - is this better than diamondbrite?

I have jewelultra diamondbrite, uk product. I have used this on every BMW that I have owned, experience good so far (not excellent as the shine doesn't last that long). 6 years warranty tough.

I visited their centre here in KK just last week for car wash. The demo they gave me on one Mark X which was paint coated was quite impressive. They showed how the water drops disperse quickly from your car unlike if its not treated. For the glass coating, they claim it can last one year. But price oso boleh tahan lah. But one thing, the coating should not be confused with polishing.

On another note, as I mentioned I tried their car wash lah. There were only 2 cars at car wash including mine (still early that time). It was really one of the longest car wash I had been to. Took them around 1.5hrs to wash and clean my car. BUT (yes, there is a BUT), they were very very detail with the washing. The most detailed car wash I have ever been to. That one i really salute lah !!!!

Perhaps if got extra $$$ mite go and try the coating after I finish installing my body kit...

I've had diamondbrite for my last 3 cars, and they don't last very long, max about 2-3 months even with the conserver (monthly application a must). My experience is that personal washings will prolong the shine, and one wash in any carwash (used to to to Carnauba, now wash on my own lots better) will result in permanent paint swirls. Definitely does not prevent the bird dropping wrinkles.

I think you guys should go to Sunway to check out the Gzox outlet, they would give you a better representation of their product. According to them, the products and technique's from Japan. I'm waiting for the rest of my bodykit to be fixed before looking at a detailer.
