Had an E90 325i for 6 years. Very few problems overall.

You bought the car already or planning to buy the car?

Hi Keantan, May i know whats the few problems overall and also the frequency of breakdown ? I have a e36 ( yes still stubbornly driving it because i like it so much). But i have a traffic jam problem. The car tend to jerk once I jam more than 15mins , and brake assistance went off if i gas it too much and let go , rpm also jitter between 0.5k to 2k then it suddenly surges with power.

Still looking for option for a e90 but am afraid I will be disappointed if breakdown occurs frequently.. I need to travel outstation often and also city which basically full of traffic jams. :motz:

I won't be too worry. Had been driving for 6 years now. No major issues. There were some niggling problems initially, sensors and bugs, but for the past 5 years, mostly just wear and tear. Almost all my pulleys had been replaced along with other parts.
It has been reliable so far. I won't say there are problems. Problems means there is something wrong with the car. Have not encountered 'problems". Just forking out money for replacement parts.

the 325i is quite a reliable car. if possible get the LCI (facelift) model (end 2008 - 2012). the lci has the updated engine (n52k) and there are no major issues (most common problem was "makan minyak hitam"). other than that make sure to service the gearbox every 30k or 40k (still not sure which is correct :p)

Just normal routine maintenance & never had any major issues even after 5 years of hard driving & never change my gearbox oil :65:

Really reliable cars but don't know whether its applicable to CKD model
