Hmmm....ok. I am gonna start using my car more and try to rack up some more mileage and have it serviced soon ;) thanks for the advice!

the general rule is whichever comes first...example 10000km or 6-months whichever comes first...

if you cannot hit the mileage, it is recommended that you change the oil based on time period...short journey causes premature ageing on the engine oil as it is not heated up properly or heat cycle is too short...in the long run the oil changes in its properties...

there is no such thing as changing engine oil too soon or cannot change engine too soon...its only the economic and time reason not to change usually...the best is to change it every after drive but this is both money and time wasting...hehe

Bro is right. My 530 also doesn't rack up enough mileage but I service car by time then, not mileage. Don't leave it too long between services.

Can actually attest to Alxy cause I just went to my regular mech asking if I could service my car (he said cannot and I have to wait for at least 2,000km btw). My 1st and only service was in December 2010 and I have not reached the 10,000km scheduled maintenance period. To date, I have only driven about 5,000km since Dec 2010 till August 2011. Reason being i have other rides as well and I interchange them a bit...so may not be so unusual to find low mileage on cars as long as you know the owners....:)

ha ha ha yeh yeh yeh ...very true ..but look at the way you drive bro ....even the dead man will start walking again ...... ayooo just go change the oil every 45 days and your e60 can withstand your trashes ...
look who is talking here ...:)
and not to forget ...make sure clean them up with a proper octane booster ..lately VSOP works better than X.O ....

Yes I have just done that last night.
Scanned all the receipt and invoice that was given to me by this Khairul guy.

See if he dares to continue robbing other would-be buyer after this.

Some people just don't have the ethics and manner. Sigh
