Welcome to the club and enjoy 'thrusting' :D

So Mr. Muller, have you got your E60 yet? Did you buy from the Cheras dealer?

Yup boss, RM206K is a very good deal :) If it's M-Sport then even a better deal. However the interest rate for used car might be slightly higher and that's why I opted for AP recond :(

Any good deal for AP recond?

If you're really serious then I can introduce the company I'm buying from to you :) He's a very nice guy.

Which model did you buy? Mind share? Do you have any issues so far?

I bought E60 530 LCI UK spec. So far I got mine checked at the workshop and no problems electronically. However I feel that the engine sound is a bit too loud. Apparently it's coming from valves or pistons inside (not very sure) but I'll get it diagnosed further. There's no harm yet but just that it sounds like a diesel car despite it being petrol :( Squeaking sound on the doors after I apply tint. Apart from these, the car is so far so good.

i'm not sure if it was my hearing gone bad, but last week, i was standing beside a 4yrs old e90 323 and wow... it was loud. so much so that i had to move aside cos the engine noise was quite bad. I was standing in front of it next to the bonet. i think it's normal kua? cos it was the 4th(diff cars) time i heard of loud engine noise from a petrol bmw.

I'm not sure too but if I look at YouTube, some of the cars also sounded like mine (even the M5). It really sounds like a bloody diesel engine, so damn loud :( I wish something can be done to reduce the noise level. Thankfully it's not so audible from inside the car.

fyi, i actually smiled cos my 520d is a wee bit quieter than the 323 :) but in all fairness, my oil burner is only 1.5yrs old.

I'm quite disappointed with the engine sound but I read around and found out that it happens because the previous owner doesn't do regular maintenance on time. One of the suggestion is to use 10W-50W oil. What do you think? Aih, damn sad.

i'm using 10w-60w. quite good

Thanks bro Hakim, I think I would try this viscosity as well because it might reduce the engine noise level. What brand are you using or would you recommend? It's fully synthetic right?

Have u came across engine oil reduce after running abt 8k km???

Bro Hakim, why did you choose Ravenol over Castrol? Cost factor or the Ravenol is really better?
