Was about the get the e92 335i but I was put off by the long wait. So now I'm looking to buy an e60. I'm contemplating on a recond e60 VS a new facelift one but I'm afraid of the problems and such from the recond model.an '04 530i is around 270k whereas an '05 one would be in the region of 300k. an '05 525 sport around 270k Anybody knows what are the prices for the new facelifted 523i, 525i and the 530i ?

I got these prices off http://paultan.org/:

BMW 523i SE – (190 hp) – RM 376,800
BMW 525i Sports – (218 hp) – RM 409,800
BMW 530i – (272 hp) – RM 453,800
BMW 530d – (218 hp) – RM 499,800
BMW 540i – (306 hp) – RM 628,800
BMW M5 – (507 hp) – RM 898,000

That's a RM30k jump for the 523i. Do the extra equipment of the SE justify the price?

e92, if you ask me, I will go for the NEW facelifted model. Forget about reconds as you do not have any track records of their previous owners and how the car was handled. The small savings is not justifiable. I will go for peace of mind, bro.

Cheers.

In my opinion, I prefer the pre-facelift front lower air scoop than the current 'smiley' face which reminds me of Peogeot 407. The gear shift level does not blend with the rest of the interior design.
However, the extra hp and the navi stuffs are a welcome additions. Just my 2 cents.

guys thinking abt the 523SE. wondering do they give any discount since it is almost year 2008. like Benz E200k giving rm35k off which is rm318k selling price now. but like the 523SE better but much more expensive. do u guys think 523SE can get discount for it?? thanks

Since you have originally wanted an e92 335i, then why are you now considering a recond e60 when you can anytime afford a brand new e60 530i ????

unless you're in a hurry, the 335i is definitely worth the wait...if really cannot wait, go for 530i...272hp..

6 months is a long wait. i would go for facelifted e60..then again, both are not apple-for-apple comparison.
