F30 Tips and Tricks

Just thought I'll create a thread for all of us to share some tips and tricks we use for our cars.I'll start:1) I like to turn off my iDrive (my 320i does not have navigation) when driving, so instead of pressing the 'Options' button then selecting 'Turn off display', I hotkey number 8 (by pressing and holding on to number 8 when turn off display is selected). So now, I just press number 8 and the iDrive display turns off.Any other tips and tricks to share?

Thanks, that's a cool tip. The "menu" screen that always comes on doesn't look appealing at all. How I wish we can load some sort of a wallpaper like on our handphone.

you can use the 1-8 preset keys for many functions.
i assigned the following

-Saved Stations list
-Journey computer

Just press and the menu will pop up.... Forgot to mention I also set favourite phone numbers to a couple of the presets too.

That's a good function to hotkey....

Yup good function, i set it as a speed dial key.
