Got a quote to change to M-Performance shocks, springs and add anti-roll set for my 328i. About RM12k total. Anyone changed their set yet? Stock set is way too soft for me, anyone else think so? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I was given a quote of RM7500ish delivered to KL excluding installation. Am organizing a group buy if you are interested.

I want to join if there's a group buy. I also want the M Performance exhaust.

So far, I've got a quote for shocks RM9200, springs RM2100, anti-roll RM1400. From another supplier, it's shocks RM8600, springs RM2000, anti-roll RM2000.

So net net, a few hundred diff.

Any idea what the RM7.5k gets you? Appreciate your feedback.

As for installation, I'm gonna get Quill to do it. Shankar from Quill has given his assurance that as long as the whole set is original BMW and not just OEM, the warranty is intact. This is an important point to note for all those interested in upgrading.

Currently, BMW Malaysia doesn't bring in the sets and may only do so towards year end. Probably when the M-Performance models of the F30 are launched.

As for cost to install, Quill should do it for free since the original set up is so soft that I bottomed out on a drive to KLIA at only 160kmh. This I will update once done.

p.s. the word inside from the sales and service staff there is that BMW Malaysia specced softer suspension for F30 cos many E90 buyers complained the set up was too hard. Only to find out that most of those buyers upgraded from Toyota Camrys. Sad that hardcore BMW fans have to suffer to please a bunch of BMW newbies still suckling on their Jap tou fu fah chassis set ups.... LOL!!!

With the F30, i think theres also a lot of newbies or first time buyers tooo....just read the various threads posted in this forum. Bmw malaysia (like any other seller) is just greedy, wanting ever more market share.

By the way, the math you quoted...is it correct? AB sg besi quoted just rm12.5 k for the whole package ( dampers, springs, sway bars, install etc...)

Yes, double checked it with both suppliers. Pending confirmation from Nightswan's contact that the set from singapore is original BMW set, and not OEM, that sounds like the best deal so far. So if you're interested, click on his link above to join in.

No wonder, what a shame. That first I noticed. Since my previous ride was MSport E46 so I thought it normal.

Have you guys fitted the M Performance Suspension? Would be good to hear from you on the difference between stock and M Performance suspension.

I agree its just too soft. even at sport + its still disappointing. Roll as much as my previous camry.

Ithink i will start with anti roll bar as my biggest issue is traction roll.

The sport+ doesn't change your suspension setup ;)

First solution for body roll is suspension. Not ARB. ARB cannot cure it as well as a set of suspension can. Also, F30 rolls so much because 98% of buyers want a comfortable drive, not MSport set up. So the soft suspension makes sense.

Well i just feel the arb will be the first thing i will go for as rolling is my pet hate for this car.
