This is what amazes me about us BMW users....imagine a forum like this and many more accross the globe having millions of posts on BMW problems.....and yet we are so proud to share the problems among us and I must say we tend to get excited about posting them....well this is me anyway. I used to own a japanese car and I don't think I have found a forumwhich is flooded with problems....its always entries with modified pics and queries on how to beautify the car..and for a proton....again nobody bothers to write problems...maybe coz its expected....that these problems will occur.....

So to see that there is already an available post for expecting F10 problems.....wow...so much for the Ultimate Drving Machine eh.....nevertheless eventhough we all drive a car which resembles Hitler's moustache (the front grille)...I have and will never stop admiring and loving it!

hahaha its bout love & hate of BMW which provide the ultimate driving machine feeling.

Proton murah so what do u expect but BMW???? RM1.7k for a simple module for body control sometimes really test your nerve.:motz:

heheh yes bro...and I have been without my beloved car for the past 2 weeks....urghhhhh having sleepless nights....

New cars always have bugs... Furthermore when the car is computerized like BMW, Mercedes etc. What do you guys expect? Doesn't matter Proton, BMW, Mercedes, Audi all have the same problem.

And initialM, we cannot blame BMW for that price but rather blame our government for putting in higher tax on those parts. I agree with you though, BMW is a story of love it or hate it. If you love it, you'll love it to death but if you hate it, you'll hate it to death.

End of the day i guess im still getting the cheapest car for the technology that gives the ultimate joy that no other car gives on that price range...in Malaysia of course

btw... just saw an F10 broke down at ELITE highway near USJ exit yesterday. It's broken down alright coz it's being loaded into a tow truck, and no accident signs front or rear.

Anyone the "owner" of that car? Care to share the problem....

hi, i just join this club. currently driving 523i F10 since jun this year. I have complaint to first Auto Bavaria Glenmarie and now to BMW Malaysia. My car gives funny noise on suspension when driving over a hump. And worst is when driving over uneven surface. The mechanic at Auto Bavaria suspects this is due to run flat tire - Goodyear where the rubber/carbon compound is hard. There are 6 cases of similar noise/road comfort that i was told including 535i.

So far my car has been in the workshop 3 times - 2 days, 1 day and the longest is 7 days from 14 to 20 Oct but still the problem persists. I wrote once to the press and asked me to get BMW involved. My previous car was 520i E60 and no problemo

Sorry for the inconvinience nad the luck that you're having.

Can we know specifically where the sound is coming from? The front, rear or both? Try to push your car down on the front and rear a bit. Prior to searching, it could well be the brake sensor that's rubbing with the suspension or a defected shock absorber making squeaky noise... You can always send it to Ingress Auto or anywhere else if you are not satisfied with the result in Auto Bavaria Glenmarrie.

Thanks!

I recently saw a F10 broke down on Jalan Tun Razak right in front of Volvo Swedish Marque in heavy rain. The owner was standing next to it with an umbrella and didnt look too happy.

My cuz who works in that Volvo branch immediately whipped out his DSLR to take a photo as it would be the best advertisement for Volvo. The owner was literally standing under the VOLVO signboard.

If i hit a hump straight on the noise would be noticeable from right side; however if i hit a hump from a different angle left first it will not be that bad. I have reported the squeaky sound within first 2 weeks when the mileage is below 1,000km. A loud sound from rear would be heard if running on uneven surface. I experienced it again at speed less than 40 kmph when approaching roundabout towards SkyPark this afternoon. Another salient point is at KM2.9 approaching KLIA toll plaza from KLIA.

Guys, this is so real. And one more thing about remote control...the battery needs replacement after using only 4 months! My mileage is not even 9k...

The driving mode is always Normal. Seldom change the mode as I want to ensure 100% there is flaws with the suspension system and the linkage. The mechanic told me that when he swap the tires from RSC to normal tires no squeaky sound whatsoever. of course I would not change the tires myself if the faults are within BMW.

Bro Halow got the same prob like you.
BMW change the absorber for him.
Before that, my F10 got the noise fr front right arm too and they took 3 days to solve the problem.

Ben10, great news indeed...so the culprit is absorber ha...I am going to have the absorber tested at Kit Loong Tyre at PJ next week to confirm my absorber wear out rate. Thanks
