Ding,

Sorry to hear abt your misfortune. Have you got ur car checked out yet?
Whats the physical extent of the damage? Well, these riders will get their just rewards soon enough they way they are riding em motorcycles.

Kudos to you for placing a man's life above everything else. Even tho he turns out to be an ungrateful bugg*r.

Look at it this way, if a dog jumps out in front of your car what would you do? As much as my love for animals tells me to avoid it at all costs, I think I would only avoid it as much as I could before damaging my car, and if the dog is still in the way then too bad - because i'm not going to risk driving up a curb, possibly hitting a padestrian, and possibly doing a flip stunt. So motorcyclist is the same thing, and I have definately less love for these a**holes than I do for animals. I nearly hit a kitten on the LDP but at the time I honestly only gave it as much as I could spare, and my side mirror was nearly skimming the barrier... The kitten made it over the center divider, but i don't know if it only jumped over to get to the pearly gates anyway.

One thing that I really can't stand is when you get the green light to turn and when youare already well on your way to turning a motorcyclist decides to jump the red light and speed right past in front of your car. WTF. If they want to jump the light, do so BEFORE i'm turning, or better yet - DON'T DO IT. Why do they have to do it WHILE i'm turning? I have nearly run over 4 motorcylcists at the Bangsar Shopping Centre traffic light because of this, and i've stopped slowing down for them now - I just floor it.

The best thing i've ever seen done was a similar situation as above, at the Bangsar Telawi traffic lights. A Wira hit a motorcyclist who ran the red light and the dude driving the Wira grabbed the MC and made him sit on the sidewalk, and then the Wira dude hijacked the motorcycle and drove it to the police pondok to file a report. The wife or girlfriend of the dude driving the Wira stood guard and made sure the MC didn't run away. Good stuff!

basic motorcycle riding rules for passing JPJ exams:
Do not let your feet touch the ground at all times so riders will do the following:

1. Beat traffic lights. If they stop, they have to put their foot down
2. Won't slow down for traffic (even if you have signaled for ages)
3. Must take P1 at any traffic light but usually go before green.

its the motorbikes fault he overtook Ding on the right line while Ding was on the right lane.

ding,
very glad tht ur ok.thts the most important thing dude!
but,as for the motorcyclist.....had he fallen directly infront of u and lets say tht u rolled over him....it wouldnt be man slaughter coz he cut in front of u and lets just say tht its impossible to avoid things like tht.but its great tht u managed to avoid tht said arsehole mennace to society.
sad tht ur e30 had to suffer though.
u knw where to send it for repair.if not ask skar.

wht i dont get is,y is it tht these buggers take it for granted tht we will avoid thm all the time whnever they abrubtly swerve into our lane or shoot out in front of us?
do they take life for granted or r they just fed up of living?
wht a bunch of wankers.

i got into a major accident ages ago due to these farkers.they were racing ilegally and 6 bikes cut in front of me and nxt thing i knw it,i curbed the car,was projected 10ft into the air, landed, did a couple of flips and landed on the left side of the car 35-50m away....

i got fined rm3k for damaging the lamp post, while the farkers sped off without having the common decency to stop and help me and my 5 friends in the car.....

all this bcoz i avoided them so tht they could show thier prowess on their darn bikes!while i got the bulk of the hassle and the shit i got from the authorities!

like i said,if u can avoid thm,by all means do....but if u cant, its all gods doing at the end of the day aint it?

rgds,
-brad-

had had almost similar experience with Ding. Was minding my own business driving leisurely along the road leading towards the lake gardens when out of a sudden, a blardy motocyclist cut in from the left in front of me. Jammed on the brakes but hit him a little and the Mo-Fo nearly fell off his bike. The knock took a chunk off my front bumper (knnccb). Instead of recognising his mistake, he had the cheek of waving his fists to me, and whilst showing off his stupidity to incite a quarrel, he almost knock into a moving car in front. The devil in me was actually hoping that he actually rammed into the car infront, but I was not in luck that day to laugh at him.

You know what, next time one of these motorcyclists give you the finger or waving fists, overtake him, get right in front of him, and hit the brakes. I'm sure although this may cost a bit of money to replace the bumper, windshield, knock out your boot, and respray the lot, but the moment would be priceless. In Bangkok i've seen a motorcyclist do a flip over a car and land on his feet! You don't see something like that everyday. :D

well, at that spur of the moment I would probably think of doing such things. But rationally, I don't think it is worth it spending money (for repair) on that Mo-Fo. I'll just curse him silently.

off topic a bit....

Guys and gals, don't you think your vocabulary in swear words miraculously increased after driving in KL for some number of years? Suddenly you find yourself able to spontaneously utter those words that you didn't know you are capable of. :p

ACE Hardware sells pepper sprays for about RM30. I'd like to see them ride after a good squirt in the face...
