Exhaust Recommendation For E60/ 520i/ M54B22 Engine ?

My concern is a sudden lost of power during high rpm.

Yes boss I have an E60 LCI and I ordered the quad exhaust with 4x83mm tips. The one I show you is single side muffler only. Actually you don't have to worry because these are properly tuned exhaust and hand crafted. If you go for custom or Taiwan made replica then it might be power loss at some points. Eisenmann, SuperSprint, Hamann, etc are all reputable brands and they promise some increase rather than decrease

I thought of giving Eisenmann a try since I've had enough of custom and Taiwan stuffs.

There's 2 types of sound, namely SPORT and RACE (louder). I'm getting the SPORT so it won't be as good as the M5 I prefer silent setup, haha

I have Eisenmann Sport on the E34 540i
And now, I have an Eisenmann Race on the E39 530i.

I'll take the Race spec anytime. However, running it on the manual (stick shift) produce a different sound .. VERY loud and nice sound. 1 word - orgasm ...

BUT careful - it might melt your rear bumper if you did not install it properly .

Great review there Actually I've always wondered:

1) How loud is the sound inside the cabin? Is it audible at normal cruising speed like 100km/h?
2) How bad is the droning at low rpm's?

At a lower speed - you will hear the drowning sound - but somehow it's not that disturbing.

Actually - the sound is much louder when you are behind / outside the car and when you are on full throttle.

We tested the sound - all windows down - in Smart Tunnel, Pencala Link and Karak tunnel ..
3rd gear full throttle ... heaven !!
We went a few laps in and out of the tunnels - just to enjoy it.

The ghee boy cum 3 times ... I need to clean my rear seats - because of that ..

And it's cheaper now .. I paid 8K for the Race version E34 M5 - 4-5 yrs ago.

Actually I'm not a fan of those loud exhaust and if it's loud on the outside then I don't mind. My worry is the loud noise inside the cabin when we drive or when cruising. I don't want my family members to feel upset about the noise level. That's why I ordered the Sports instead of Race.

For me, the sound on the S38B36 is the best - esp 'masa tarik pickup' or blip-downshift.
On the M54 - more refine - no 'wild roar'.
Wait till i put a manual stick in it ...

The Shell CBJ guy - where is he aaa .. Very quiet nowadays esp since he is on 'stick' now ...
