Bro.. have you tried Ah Yu 019-3197453? Give him a call.. he just got back from Taiwan yesterday.. Besides, I think 2.8k is a little on the high side.. Cheers!
bro,
Before you get into this ECU thingy, try this first.
The torque & bhp remained the same but significant improvement in the throttle response. You feel like driving a different car, "felt lighter", responsive and gave you the 'impression' that you are having a much powerful car. Overall, driveability improved! Trust me,......you will still feel the difference even blind folded
I did the Calvin Tan's HIOP chip back in June 2006 on my e39 525 & the result was satisfactory. If you looking for more remarkable result add on the Eurocar Motorsport power pulleys kit once you have install the HIOP chip. The result was instaneous from satisfactory to excellent.

my e36 328i got HIOP magic from eurocar. i think it is the best option for heavily modded car like mine: intake, header, cams, sparkplugs, exhaust w/ catalytic removed, manual and dyno showed excellent fuel/air mixing ratio. i dun think a regular chip that dun consider the mods / conditions of the car can be as good :burnout:

Just took the car out for a wacking. Car feels good but for the first time, the gear changes are kinda rough a 5.5 to 6k rpm . Maybe somehow the new maps are a bit too aggresive at that range.
Feel a slight kick at 4.5K which I didnt get in the past. Then again it could be my imagination.
The dyno will be the only real test.
Yeecher,
Do agree with you but as stated, will fully agree with you after I have put my car on the rollers.

opp then you'll REALLY appreciate a change to manual coz at least 1.0s quicker. i did mine at RGB motor works in Ampang for 8K. not sure about e39 gearbox (is it 5-spd?) but i think e36 4-spd auto is one of the worst gearbox in the world, practically takes away like 50% of the engine power
