engine shaking and rumbling

hi there , would appreciate some advice from all the sifus,..was driving from kb alor star ,usual speed of 110-120 km/hr ,very smooth but when i started to press harder up to 130-140 km/hr , engine started to rumble and shake a little bit , not too much but still enough to make me slow down and stick to 110-120 , ,,right now , driving to work and leisure car running smoothly , but i still wonder and worry what could be the problem ?any advice is greatly appreaciated.where do i start to rectify the problem ?

checked the tires , original bmw rims , nothing major problem with that ,..pressure also ok.tyre thread all evenly used.what else aaa?

Steering shakes as well? Like master pussy put, go get them check. Wheel balancing or alignment correction could do some wonders...

Actually I can think of a few more culprits.
List:
1.) Flat spots or bulges in Tires.
2.) Unbalanced or dented Rims.
3.) Universal Joints going bad.
4.) Drive Shaft out of balance (Can lose weight or be damaged from E.G Hitting Speed Bump)

come to think of it, yes the steering did shake as well.and the rims on closer inspection do have some small dents , been almost 8 months since i last checked for balancing and alignment ,
drive shaft ?? aiyaa , does that spell a bigger hole in my pocket ? shall get things done tomorrow,,, over here kota bharu everything comes to a stop on fridays

my mechanic tells me that the arm bush is at fault..still can use short term but needs changing later on,..is this the usual wear and tear of a e46 ,?has anyone experience the same thing..what would it cost me ? will it affect the tyres ?..thanks in advance ..
