Hi All,Just need to release my pain. Two days ago had to go through a flood. Yesterday, started experiencing knocking on my downshift. Took to my mechanic and machine flushed the gear box. Test drive today but still slight knocking when accelerating full throttle. Gear box was completely fine and smooth before this. An expensive lesson indeed! Sifus, any way I can get my gear box back to the way it was?? Please advice! Thanks all!

Hi KingLazy,

I had exactly the same problem as you after driving my old e34 520i thru a flood many years ago.
The problem turned out to that:
1. The ECU got wet. This was resolved.
2. The O2 sensor died which was the ultimate cause of the jerking.

Hope this helps
