E90 steering emblem peeling off

Dear Sifu,Friend of mine had suffering his E90 steering emblem peeling. the silver coding started to peeling off from time to time. can we just replace the emblem ? if yes, where i should get the emblem ?how easy or hard to replace the emblem ?thank you very much.

I heard that replacing just the emblem may be an issue because of the steering wheel airbag housing, you can't remove the existing emblem just for the replacement. Unless you intend to stick an emblem on top of the existing one. This is was what that I heard from a BMW techie, even BMW doesn't sell this as a separate component.
