E90 ECU firmware update

Hi all,Recently been advise by SA to update the software for my E90. This happened when I serviced my mechatronic module and had my GB reprogrammed and update the software to latest version.The problem started when I am on the latest software on GB and the problem when there is a hunting in 3rd and 4th gear. Car feel lost in power and sluggish with slight shudder. Anyone here has had the ECU firmware updated?According to the SA, the latest GB firmware version 10 will only match the ECU firmware version 37.Cheers.Firz67

Hi Fir67, how do I locate the firmware version number for both the ECU and GB?

What my mechanic did was only to plug in the SSS diagnosis tools to the car and the reading should show the ECU software version.Mine was 2006 last updated and on version 24.
