Hi Guys. I have been having issues with my CA since I picked up my car in Aug 2010. Sometimes the car wont open or lock unless I hold the key fob in the same hand that is touching the door. To make matters worse when I am in the car with the engine running and key fob in the pocket the display shows no key detected. This happens especially when my wife opens her door to get out. I have been in and out of AB JB so many times but they cant fix it. They have changed my key fobs, adjusted the antenna, upgraded the software and changed batteries on the fob... all to no avail. Have any of you guys experienced this or only me and any suggestions on how I can get this resolved. It is inconvenient when get to the car in the rain and the doors wont open, have to reach for key fob then only open... by then soaked wet. :banghead:

I have had issues similar but less severe as you with comfort access on my previous car. What kind of window tinting do you have? I was suspecting that my V-Kool all round tinting was affecting the signal somehow due to the metallic tint. Not sure but just a thought.

It might, will have to check it out. However it does not explain the issue with the car not recognizing the key while it is in the car. I was made to understand that the antenna receiver is on the windscreen behind the rear view mirror.

Yes I never had that problem, that's why not sure if window tint is really the culprit. It's an expensive test to take out all your window tint just for nothing to change. If it does, go for ceramic one instead of the metallic one. Try some online searches of this problem also. Good luck.
