Courtesy of Paul Tan:http://paultan.org/archives/2008/04/18/bmw-malaysia-launches-new-bmw-320i-sports/Some features:- M-Tech kit- M Sports Suspension- M Leather Steering Wheel- 17" Staggered Rims/Tyres- +6 hp compared to the current 320i- USB audio interface for iPods/MP3 players etc- Price: RM245,800 OTR without insuranceSo I guess this replaces the 320i SE and/or Highline?Seems like BMW Malaysia is re-positioning the E90 models, cos astroboy posted that he saw a "basic" E90 325i on sale now (without Active Steering)

This is perhaps the car the official members saw bring assembled at AIM Shah Alam about 2 months back! Finally, it's on sale! I remember I called E46F to tell him about this model fully loaded with M kit. I wonder how they extracted that extra 6 bhp though. On the day we were given a thorough tour of the plant, we saw like 30-40 cars at various stages of assembly, all in black though.

using stickers, maybe? :D

I missed out 2 important features - the M Sports Suspension and Steering Wheel. Updated in the 1st post.

Does the HPI engine comes in the form of the 2.0L as well? Maybe that could contribute to the additional 6 horses?

I think the valvetronic engines remain though, so HPI doesn't come with valvetronic engines. It would be interesting if it's ECU programming, heh!

JP, must be the time lapses between hitting the "post" button. The rims are pretty ordinary and looks like the centre cap is missing.

I didn't know what happened until affan brought it up. Nevermind, fix already. Back to topic - At 156 bhp, the uprated 320i still losses out to C200K's 184 bhp big time. It has hell a lot of M kit to make up for it though. If the lower specced 325i is not far off, I would save a bit more money to get the 325i. Just my 2 rupees!

I notice this 320i seat has the lap support extension, and auto cruise !!

For RM9k premium over the my standard 320i, this is definitely a preferred choice due the the additional 6hp, M-Sport kit and suspension, M-Steering, auto cruise and better seat. :top:

Salina's 120i M-Sport also claimed to produce 156hp... I guess its the same engine with whatever upgrade our ours.. if she keeps the rev at 6,500rpm, I confirm kalah 6 kuda.. :D

Bro, go ahead to book this upgraded E90-320 M-sports, I'll take over your current E90-320, hows that sounds to you?

Agree with JP, but u need to fork out another easily RM20+k more for the base line 325i.. Aiyaa.. stick to standard 320i like me.. it will never end la.. :p

I wonder if they are going to have 318i... kakakakakaaaaaa.. :D

Bro AB, if RM20K is all it needs to go for 325i, then GO FOR IT! I made that progression too from E36 318i to E46 325i...

yes, there is a 2.0 liter inline-4 HPI engine, but it makes 170 horses. the one in this 320i Sports and the 120i Sports is just a tuned up normal Valvetronic 2.0 liter.

Ah the man himself is in da house, I didn't know that! :top:

Btw, was at the service centre to change my engine oil and brake pads today.
Seems that the 320i SE is no longer on sale (at least at my dealer).
They now have the standard 320i, 320i Highline and the 320i Sports.
Price difference btwn the Highline and Sports is only about RM3k+, making the Sports quite a good buy I'd say...

GHS, u didn't ask them about the base line 325i? It comes without active steering and but really, those M-sport goodies is really attractive.

The 15mm lower ride makes the car looks fabulous, the light alloy //M 17" rims make the car looks like the 170hp 320Si.. body hugging buckets, rear electric blinds and front PDC. If I am a prospect looking for pre-owned E90 320i few years from now, I will surely look for this 320i M-Sport variant, even if it cost RM10k extra!! It has just make my existing 320i harder to sell next time! :(

And by the way, the rear wheels is running a 255/40R17 as opposed the the earlier reported 225/40R17.. The brush aluminum tail pipe also look awesome!

I've asked already a couple of weeks ago and they said the standard 325i will be discontinued. There is no stock of 325i Sports at the moment, so there may be some tweaks coming in the 325 lineup, like they've just done to the 320 lineup. The SCs don't know what's in store for the 325s. Should be good as these are the last tweaks before the facelift.

The rear tire size is 245/40/17 if I remember correctly.

And yes, the 320i Sport with all the goodies is mouth watering. But I know
why....hehehe :)

Cheers.
