E60 Purchase - Advice Needed

Dear Sifus,

Been eyeing an E60 for a while - getting a bit bored with my E39 528i.

Don't feel like spending a fortune buying a car so, I am more incline to get the m54 model, so the question is:

Do Malaysia got the 525i model from 2004 to 2007? if yes, what is the year? Because like almost all 525i sold in Mudah is Jap Spec.

How bad is 520i ? - I have been driving X28i for a while (328i / 528i) both M52 and M52TU, I suppose M54 will be more responsive due to newer tech, but is it that bad in terms of power?

The M54 engined E60 is produced from '04-'05.
Mid '05 onwards has the magnesium N52 engines using valvetronic technology.

I had an e39 m52b28 prior to my current e60 m54b25 and to my dyno butt,the power diff is negligable(probably coz I am not as young and heavy footed)
If you are used to the b28...then get at least an m54b25 or better still an m54b30..........
