Hi everyone,I'm new to the forum so please be gentle :)I have a question - has anyone installed the FRP M5 bodykit to their E60s? I'd like to know your views on the quality of the product such as:1) Are there any uneven gaps between the bumpers and the car's body?2) Does the paint have a tendency to crack after a few months?Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

there are two types of m5 bodykit in the market. FRP n Duraflex. Normally for FRP bodykit, you need to install 1st b4 u spray coz the fitment is not 100%. You need a good painter to cement the bumper n spray.

Duraflex material is better compare to FRP coz the finishing and fitment is better. the bumper is more flexible n it wont tend to crack easily.

Hope this answer ur question.

Hi marchochen,

Thanks for your reply. It is helpful indeed. Any idea where I can get the Duraflex version?

Of course nothing is as good as the original, but I must say the Duraflex comes close. I've just installed it and the gaps are fine.

I know you can get the original M5 rear bumper for around 5K and the front a bit more, but the problem with original isn't just the price. There are fitting issues as the M5 fenders are wider (11mm each side, I think) than the normal E60. Since the front won't fit and you'll have to get either an FRP or Duraflex, I don't think it makes sense to get a replica front and original rear.

But that's just me.

Anyways, after looking and knocking (literally!) on both materials, I've concluded that Duraflex is much better than FRP.
