but sorry la i only drive at 80kmh and max also 110kmh so...happy cucuking...:top:

We are all BMW owners and drivers... why cucuk them??? Even if he/she is driving M5, it does not necessary mean that he/she want to pull away from you... :stupid: if you want them to give way, just flash light at them but don't cucuk them.

I'm proud of my 545 i badge. For me, i usually drives quite fast anyway. Doesnt really bother to cucuk or tapau anyone.. BUT, on few occasions there will be some BOYracer-blood's drivers who `cucuk' or trying to shake me off (`tapau' me). Those who knows, will somehow slowed down by themself on seeing my badge.
Leave the M5 badge and styling to the original almighty M5. I dont believe in being somebody that you are not. Even i love the style 166 rims, i will get the 172 instead.
By the way, there many people (even an owner of a BMW themselves:stupid:) thought that a 545 never exist.. They say that i simply stick the badge. But i like the anolgy of the bodybuilder with a 2year old size dick..:top:

what do you guys think on owning a real M5?

for me buying it is ok since the price for a recon or 2nd hand unit is quite reasonable for such a beast but i'm put off by the road tax that you need to pay...for company reg the road tax is about RM30k and with insurance, roughly per year you have to fork out almost RM50k...its like buying MyVi SE every year...haha

the alternative is to go for M3 or the x35 model with turbo charge award winning engine...

hahaha...u got money...then no problem maaa....doesnt really bother how much to pay to the gov and the ins co...
for me...momentarily...satisfy enough laa with my ride...though i dunt have any emblem on it...

If I could choose only 1 car to own, it would be the M5. It can do everything (in my wishlist at least). Let's go thru it:

1. Poser: yup. Looks the part, a car that you can stand proud beside it holding the car keys
2. Racer: oh yes. Want to ta-pau that pesky Evo or even Ferarri? Can give them run for their money
3. Prestige. yup too. Definitely a car you would want to go to your secondary school reunion in.
4. Practicality. 4 door saloon that can fit your family AND your weekly groceries or luggage for your vacation. What more you need?

Some other cars may do other items better, but M5 excels in all my checklist :)

For those unbelievers, just rev your glorious V8 and let them hear it....instant convert

True what you say, know your car and other cars before taking them on. If I see your 545 badge, would definitely not dare to take on, same with Evo or Ferraris, etc...

I am like bro t2ribena....not much driving skills, so I can only "bully" those sure-wins like Accords, Camrys, etc.. unless they drive irresponsibly in which case I let them go....

i totally agree on seeweed...that one a must kill :top:

Yup... my all time favourite BMW model is those with E60 looks... it was love at first sight when it was launched in 2003. But then I can't afford the 500-600k++ asking price for M5... even though it's loaded with heaps of must-have items, especially the V10 beast underneath its hood :D
Listen to this man "BMW M5 One and Only Sound"

Interesting thread. I also for the life of me could not understand why anyone would put an M5 badge on anything other than an M5. As for aesthetics, well...I guess it depends on how far you'd go to try to pass your E60 off as an M5.

I do have the M5 bodykit with Hartge lips front and back with quad exhaust that works, but that's because I really like the kit. I made a conscious decision not to install the M5 grille so you can tell straight away that it isn't an M5 without needing a closer look. I'd never race anyone on the road because of something personal that it's best I don't share here, but I'd gladly take up the challenge if anyone is up for a go-kart race at the Shah Alam track :)

nice to get in touch with u contrail... i've always wondered how a supercharged 530i stack up against the 545i... the stats are close but wonder how they perform in real life. wanna try a few hot laps around sepang this 24th? nothing personal i truly admire the 545i and almost ended up with 1 but just couldn't afford to own one...

I'm not even on M5 bodykit... from far, you can already notice that it's M-Sport bodykit with Hamann front lips and diffuser... plus M-Sport 18" rims :top: don't get me wrong, if given the choice, I'd go for any M-Power side grill, but it's not available so I went for M5 grill instead :vroam:

Hello mate. Sepang? I think you will win anyway :top: I never got the chance to drive around the track and not really keen to so all this while for a few reasons.
I bought the car not to really show off or anything. Its just the feeling of self satisfaction to own a BMW V8, especially here in this country, where the car prices are ridiculous. M5s are awesome, but its power and costs is a bit too much for me as i'm only a `normal' driver with `makan gaji' income.
When i say I'm proud of the 545, it means that I'm just happy to have whatever I own. Its the same feeling as when i got my first car almost 18 years ago, a secondhand '84 Corolla.

In my humble opinion, putting the grill is fine. It's one thing to put M5 parts on because you like it but it's another thing when someone tries to pass their E60 as an M5. My E60 has too many M5 parts on so putting on the grill is definitely a no for me ;)

look what i saw today...worse than a BMW 520i M5 :)

Ha! Good one. The best I ever saw (too bad I did not take photo), was in Tesco. This Kancil (yes, Kancil) had fitted a kidney grill AND stuck on a BMW roundel on his bonnet and boot :D

Wonder how many people he fooled......

On another note, I wonder then if it's OK to subject wife to plastic surgery so she looks like Jessica Alba.... That would go nicely with the 520 M5..... :)
