I'm just bout my 523I it seenvery noisy in engine..ta ta ta ta ta sound.. N I just change the oil to liquid morly but the sound also noisy.. Izzit that a way that can solvethis problem?....the sound like a kancil engine ta ta ta ta.. I'm really feel sad bout it ..plese give me an advice.

The noise is certainly caused by the hydraulic tappet (lifter). One of the solutions that I read from a BMW blog is to add engine additives such as Liqui-Moly Tappet Stop Noise Lubricant. I think you can go to spare parts shops to buy this type of engine additive. Give it a try as it won't do any harm to your engine.

i have seen this during visit BMworld Tun Razak last week, its scary me, engine sound really terible, Ah wai said the owner want burn his car alrdy coz very frustrated with engine condition, still very low mileage...pity owner,

frend of mine on E90 325i N52, oso have same problem.. tap tap tap sound... but it's not all time its happen. mostly during morning time when the engine is cold. he went to dealer then left car to check, the dealer couldn't found any problem.. diagnose oso no error appear.

these cars were under the bsri (BMW service n repair inclusive) programme when sold by bmw new.the oil chg interval was set at every 15k kms or 20k kms:stupid:.where got oil can tahan 20k kms wan?so now you are facing the effect of the service programme.
before spending rm6k....i wud do an engine flush.....or 2....or 3 flushes.....to clean up the sludge and see how it it goes.....
just hope yr engine internals not like this....oherwise koyak.......
