mine got engine oil leak, had to topup almost every 2 weeks.. can see traces of oil under car when park. oil sump & flywheel seal replacement is recommendation that i received after workshop visits. anyone have done it, & any idea how much it cost? i know the parts are cheap (seal) but it s quite labor intensive since need to bring down the gearbox. what range of labor cost i m looking at, so that i ll not get conned later. need to do it since cant afford to topup so frequent. thanks

Labor aorund 300 to 400. Wah u can top up like tat arr? Its not good if the engine do not have enuff oil, it may effect internal protection. Better do it asap.

car ceiling
back ash tray cover
steering wheel
floor carpet
parts for middle section(front ash tray till back ash tray)
exterior plastic components

Auto Filter Pan. = RM 348.00
Seal Sleeve = RM 98.00
Oil filter = RM 45.00
Oil Sum Gasket. = RM 185.00
Flywheel Oil Seal. = RM 108.00
Workmanship. = RM 680.00
Grand Total. = RM 2,008.00

Did it at WP AUTO SERVICES @ Albert. FYI, my ride is E90 320i which I believe the same engine used for 318 (E46).

What u guys think about the charges? If no good, will look for other workshop in future.

Your engine is N46 & gear box is 6 speed different from E46. Better ask the E90 boys who has done a similar job.

i. Driver side power window regulator (front) : RM330
ii. Outside temperature sensor (including the wire and socket) : RM109
iii. Door Clip (RM2 pcs x3) : RM 6
iv. Oil Filter : RM20

Total : RM 465

Installation done at M One Power Car Services- Taman Dutamas,Balakong,Sel

Labour :

Power window : RM 80
Outside temperature sensor : RM30
Purchase ori Bosch wiper : RM 120

Total : RM 210

Grand TOTAL for today : RM 675

Recent Air Compressor change due to Air conditioning suddenly no cold air yesterday while on the way to IJN and routine 8k km millage service. At the same time take the opportunity change the GB shaft seal and Oil Sum Casket due to some minor leakage at the under neath. Unfortunately time not enough for one day to complete all the job so decided to change the oil sum casket on next millage routine service at my regular two workshop at Senawang Ind Area.


Finally the damage part on my wallet:
1) Recon Denso Air Compressor
Filter, Gas Refill, Air cond Oil and labour - RM1150.00 (Friendship Price)
2) Auto Oil Filter inclusive casket - RM 80.00
3) ZF Auto Oil x 7 Btls - RM 280.00
4) Auto Shaft Seal - RM 45.00
5) Oil Sum Casket - RM 80.00
6) Oil Filter - RM 20.00
7) Oil Seal ( For GB not sure what's name)- RM 85.00
8) Castrol Lub x 1 1.5 Btls - RM 223.50
Labour + 2 more btls - RM 310.00 (Friendship price)
Sub Total -RM 1123.50

Total Amount damage on my wallet - RM 2273.50

Yup..about the labour charge for the Air-cond repair you can read through my posting which was inclusive 1) Recon Denso Air Compressor
Filter, Gas Refill, Air cond Oil and labour - RM1150.00 (Friendship Price)

And the other part of my repair are done by my the other workshop which the labour charge i did mentioned too on my posting was {Labour + 2 more btls - RM 310.00 (Friendship price)} The 2 more btls was the gear box ZF added from his workshop due to the 6 btls i bring along was not enough.

mines a 318 2.0, depending on how the previous owner has taken of it plays a very important part.

within 3 months of taking the car, i've had to replace:

fuel pump
engine oil filter
gear box oil filter
radiator expansion tank
spark plugs
power window motor

all thishappened in consecutive weeks....so it was a bit frustrating emotionally and financially

but its runnig fine now. the problem was that the previous owner did change the things according to time.
