My 328 alternator kaput, changed with new Valeo, cost me RM1550. Reasonable kah?

Now my R gear does not engage, happen 3 times alrdy since CNY. Mech suspects the sensor or relay is about to kaput? My 328 is @ workshop to find the actual problem. No malfunction sign appear. Anyone experience b4? Gear D & N no issue

I had similar "R" problem few months ago after going through heavy thunderstorm. Apparently water/moisture slipped into the connector (connecting GB to ECU that is located underneath carriage next to GB) causing "Trans Fail prog". Opened up the coneector, sprayed some WD 40 and then use diagnostic scanner to erase the error code.

Get a 2nd hand alternator - there is a good supplier in Puchong specialising in BMW and Mercedes parts

Anybody know where can I find the shock absorber for
E46/325I M-Sport/2004 model.

Place, contact number and Indicative price would be highly appreciate. TQVM

Found some oil stain on the absorber. I think it time to change the absorber.

or should I go for other OEM brand like bilstein, boge or sach?

Go for Sach touring which is like M Sport. Call Suan Huat (03) 7877 3309 or Bomin (03) 6251 3613

Thanks, will call them soon.. What about Sach Advantage? Any comment about them?

I was told the Sachs Advantage/Boge Turbo (same thing, different branding) was the direct replacement for M Sport II suspension. But they are hard to get in Malaysia. Last I called Suan Huat about them, they didnt know what I was talking about. They kept telling me they only have 'normal' Sachs.

In the end I bought them from UK. Got front Sachs Advantage with rear Boge Turbo since out of stock but its the same thing. Rear not yet installed.

Sachs Touring is the normal one I suppose.

I check my spec and find my suspension is M-Sport Package II - Code S338A. Look like I may have to
go for the Sach Advantage or Boge turbo. Will do more study first.

Thanks for the info. Is his abs new or used?

Prefer to go for the new shocks as this is one of the most part of the car.

post edit.
I have checked and found that silverbullet model 330i CI. Dont think
it will fit my 325i Saloon. (I may be wrong). Anyway, he is selling the spring
and ABS for the front and rear. Thanks anyway.

Finally, got Boge equivalent for M-Sport shocks air filled.

Left right Shock Absorber - RM750 each.
Mounting RM150 each

Note : Normal Boge shock for Ee46 - RM450+, original BMW M-Sport Shock about RM1480+

Found Left side leaking oil but right side is OK. Was recommend to change both to
"balance" the ride.

Unker J,

Any difference bet standard Boge with Msport Boge. With that price can buy Bilstein B8 redy.

Do you know what type of Boge was it? And where did you get them from?

The Boge Turbo I got for the E39 is silver, the original M Sport II was also silver, I guess its different from E46.

Recent Air Compressor change due to Air conditioning suddenly no cold air yesterday while on the way to IJN and routine 8k km millage service. At the same time take the opportunity change the GB shaft seal and Oil Sum Casket due to some minor leakage at the under neath. Unfortunately time not enough for one day to complete all the job so decided to change the oil sum casket on next millage routine service at my regular two workshop at Senawang Ind Area.

There is not much difference between MSport Boge and original BMW MSport package.

Not sure about the standard Boge as I did not fit it.
