There is always a unexpected surprise everytime I visit the workshop for simple oil change. 2004 E46 325i M54B25 @100,950km Workshop bill for today:
1. New ZKE Module (General Module V) - RM2,300.00
2. Gearbox oil heat-exchanger (mini radiator) - RM473.00
3. Oil Cleaner - 2xRM45.00
4. Fuel system cleaner - RM45.00
5. Nano engine protection addictive - RM76.00
6. Ravenol 5W-40 Fully Syn(5Liter) - RM260.00
7. Ravenol 5W-40 Fully Syn(1 Liter) - 3xRM62.00
8. Oil Filter - RM48.00
9. Gasket seal for power steering hose - 4xRM8.00
10. Dextron VI ATF fluid (1 liter) - RM48.00
11. Labour RM200.00
Total damage = RM3,758.00

Sign of ZKE module deteriorating: Wing mirror control some time fail; Alarm sometime buzz without any event. Must be some IC chips or transistors got problem.

Yup I bought them new also but cheaper than yours. Actually its design faulty on the parts. For me i got my old module reconditioned after bought the new one. And the reconditioned one is as good as new as tested for 1 mth in a car. I have no choice but to change new. Even used one from chop shop cost rm700 to rm800. The module is to control all car body function ie central lock. Jialat la only driver side can open manually. I wont spend rm2.3k for that module. E46 is not as complicated as E60 or E90. Anyway anyone need them pls refer below link. Thanks
