Initially I thought I wanted to change my front brake discs and pads only. Turns out I got a whole lot more. All done at Bomin Auto.

Penzoill Full Synthetic Platinum 5W-40 4L x 2 = RM268
Oil filter hengst = RM40

Belt Change:
Belt drive : Optibelt RM40
Aircond compressor belt : Optibelt RM20

Labour charge: RM60

Belts were bought at Bomin Auto Jln Ipoh. Work done at my regular mech Elegance Autoimage Jln 222 PJ

One of the pulleys is making a slight noise that will be my next agenda ... The hydraulic tensioner is still working fine.

Bro, just bring it to any Beemer workshop, get it check with diagnostic laptop, get the mech to check the engine bay & under-carriage too. For my case, I brought it to a workshop at Tmn Industrial SJ. They even check the battery condition & told me which parts worn out.

The workshop was recommended by my regular mech. Guess what, I got it FOC when I mentionned he was recommended by my regular mech...

BTW, r u buying 4 doors or Coupe?

SMG Gearbox Oil 5 liter - RM600
Pentosin Hydraulic Fluid - RM55

For those who plan to change ur gearbox oil, i'm selling half the oil. SMG gearbox needs roughly about 2.0 liters only .. so theres about more than half remaining in the bottle. can split 50-50. Half price.
Same goes to Pentosin Hydraulic fluid. Selling at half price

Bro, what a small world :burnout: I'm staying @ Dutamas, but only for another 10 days, i'm moving back to Sabah, with my E46

I dont hv his number, but u can contact my regular mech (i used to send my Ford Focus to him for servicing/repair). The beemer workshop is on the same row as my mech's workshop. Add is:

43 Jln TS 6/1, Taman Ind Subang Jaya, SJ. Look for Murali (012-3966675). It is not far from The Summit. Tell him that E46 Coupe Orange (or Ford Focus blue-white) owner gave u the contact. This area is full of car workshops, u can drive around to see some nicely modded toys (cars) :rock:

This workshop is really good in marking up the parts price,some like 100% frm the price at bavarian auto

you can consider buying part from Eng Soon Singapore since you stay in JB, if you don't mind to go across the causeway. My mechanic in Permas Jaya allow me to buy part from Singapore and he charge the labour only.

Actually with higher SG currency, 7% GST, cost & time to get the parts sometimes is not worth. BMW parts price in JB is now more reasonable compare to last time. Some more if anything happend can still fuck off the workshop coz its not our parts. By the way which workshop in Permas??

Not all the parts are a lot cheaper. However sometime it is still a lot different betw original and aftermarket. Take the windows lifter as an example, price quite a lot different. I found this from Eng Soon. So the mechanic in Malaysia may use the aftermarket one but charge original one. I am not 100% fancy to the original BMW one as long as the aftermarket one is from a trusted brand name and a lot cheaper.

OIC. Of course is much diff compare ori to OEM. I was comparing the same items bet M'sia & SG. Also if the items is faulty how to verify? Pauline wont except the excuses. Even if warranty u have to dismantle and get back the item. I kena many times redy and even f... off Eng Soon 1 time. Its not bout money but more on good will, fair dealing, integrity and our hard earn money to buy and maintain BMW
I believe if you bring the parts the labour is higher. So it will back to square one. Even if its lil bit higher by workshop still he holds the responsibility. I'm talking from my experience. By the way send my regard ah wah. I still remember how much he charge me last time for simple job and also the deal he made for my friend's accident car.:smokin:

Im searching for a 2nd hand 325i from used car dealers.
I would like to bring a mechanic to assess the car.

1) Can anyone recommend a good mechanic near jln kuching / kepong.

2) Besides test drive and visual inspection, will an used car dealer allow to send the machine to workshop for more detailed assessment.

Pls pls pls help.
