e46 328 2000 or e46 325 2001/02

As the thread title hints, I'm abit confused on which model to go for..any advice from the e46 users on the pro's and con's? If i'm not mistaken, the 328 uses M52, compared to the M54 on the 325's.

go for the 325i...using new engine and wired throttle...328i is dated and power diff is small..however the 325i feels more lively to drive due to the responsive accelerator...road tax also less
