There seem to be some common minor problems for E39 that I wish to share, appreciate feedback from fellow owners. Otherwise, this is one great machine.1. Air bag sensor light on. Mechanic advised to change the seat belt tensioner and re-set light last year. Cost RM600, all okay after changing the tensioner and re-set. Now, the same light is on again. Come to think of it, maybe it is not a tensioner problem, some settings gone haywire. Where do you get this rectified once for sure? Give up, leave it there?2. Front seat side plastic harness always broken. This is near the seat push lever to adjust your seat position. Your own self weight will crush and break the plastic thing. If you have a E39, check this out, I am 90% sure yours is also broken. BTW, my wieight is 68 kg / 150 lbs. I have given up.I wonder what BMW has to say on such matters. Thanks.
