Ah Heng Exhaust in Subang and JFA exhaust in Sunway have been customising bolt-on turbo kits for standard engines. Cost? depending on the setup and difficulty. Can be anything between 5k - 15k...

Try searching on Youtube, there is a shit load of videos with bolt-on/custom built turbo-ed E36ers.

Pica, that sounds absolutely delicious esp it involves the 318 motor. Is it d same lazy 115hp as mine, coz if it does I think I'm bloody interested too... :listen:

Ok, I'll try to manage to see you there...

no need to change pistons. unless u're going for over 400whp and want reliability. most impt is tuning. nowdays many ppl can fabricate turbo kits, but who's goign to do the tuning? :)

What if I can do the tuning myself? :)

Picadilly:
Average stuff that you need to get when turbo a car from NA:
1. exhuast manifold
2. Turbocharger
3. Intercooler (recommended but optional)
4. Blow Off Valve
5. External wastegate (if you don't have built-in internal, or doing really high boost)
6. Piggy back / chipped ECU(or DME) / Standalone
7. New set of injectors (depend on your duty cycle)
8. New "colder" sparks if you running high boost application.

And some of the misc. like downpipe, intake piping, oil return, coolant line,
Is quite "alot" for a 1.8 to produce 300hp. And again, make sure you drivetrain (gearbox, torque converter, drive shaft, rear differential, driveshaft) can handle the power you are getting.

Turbo route is always fun, need alot of TLC and understanding. :)
Cheers

of coz if u can do yourself, then most prob u wont be posting here how to do a turbo setup :p :D :D

but i agree with u, going turbo is fun, but u need to have time n patience. especially if you're not buying a bolt on kit.
