As the new 4 pot is an aluminum unit, its probably lighter than the I6's as well, which should be good for vehicle dynamics and efficiency. I wonder what the tuning potential for this engine will be.

Better weight distribution also I think. Less two cylinder overhanging over the front axle with all four right behind.
I was quite shocked to see the big void in the 2.0 engine bay as the block pushed towards the back. More working space for the mechanic... or bigger intercooler. hehehe.
DCT already making its way to the 335 from the M3. Pray hard.
