I found a lot of infor from US about Merc, BMW, Ford etcs and NGV
Mercedes will soon start selling its B class B 170 NGT, their first compact to run on Natural Gas (the other model being an E 200). The vehicle, which will go on sale in June 2008, has a 112 HP engine that uses 4.9 kg of natural gas to run 100 km, which is equivalent to 7.4 liters of gasoline (about 32 mpg). On that trip, it'll produce CO2 emissions of just 135 grams per kilometer. The B 170 NGT can be equipped with any trim level except Sport.
Erdgas, the largest gas company in Germany, is pushing CNG vehicles by building fuelling stations throughout the country. Another interesting initiative is one that will see CNG have a 10 percent biogas blend, made from landfills and/or manure, in the near future.
Driving around Europe with Natural Gas: VW Touran, Fiat Panda and more
Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, is currently widely used in some cities (such as Paris or Barcelona) to power public buses. Natural gas burns very clean and, although it still pollutes with CO2, it avoids the most of the rest of nasty by-products that come out of the tailpipe.
ERDGAS, the biggest natural gas company in Germany, is promoting intensively the use of Compressed Natural Gas with passenger vehicles, even offering home fueling stations linked to the normal gas distribution network. The bread&butter German brands, such as Volkswagen and Opel have a couple of models able to run with CNG at relatively low prices. There are fueling stations (sparse) around Germany, and even Erdgas offers a route planner that takes in consideration that CNG vehicles need to be refueled more times.
Availability is not that easy outside Germany and every country is different. In France, the national gas company, Gaz de France, allows consumers to install compressors to fill up the cars, but they take up to 9 hours. Carrefour announced some gas pump at their gas stations and PSA cars can be ordered with CNG options.
If you want to check a couple more of models and some more information about running a CNG in Europe, follow me through the jump.
Italy shows an interessant situation. Up to the 50s, 3 percent of Italian cars ran on methane. However, only 470 pumps are nationally available for fueling. Fiat has a couple of models using this fuel, although they're also able to run fully on gasoline.
Countries like the UK, Spain, Portugal or Greece do not have widespread facilities for gas fueling, although you can always order a home fueling station.

Which brings us to the VW Touran CNG, shown at the top of this article. The Touran CNG is based on the 1.6l gasoline version of the model with extra tanks for the gas and a reduced one for the auxiliary gasoline engine. Its got 109 horses and autonomy is good for 310km (200 miles).
Another compact MPV, the Opel Meriva, exhibited at the Barcelona International Auto Show. With a 1.6 CNG good for 94 HP and 138 CO2 g/km. This engine can also be installed in the Opel Combo small van.
Opel displayed the CNG tanks with a mirror strategically placed under the car.
This is how you fuel a CNG gas. Check the gasoline and the gas caps (neatly placed and unnoticed).
Expansion of the Mercedes-Benz Centre of Competence for the Manufacture of Natural-Gas Engines in Mannheim
New building for two additional vehicle models opened on July 4, 2008
E and B-Class, Sprinter and Econic all fitted with natural-gas engine
Natural gas offers cost benefits and is kinder to the environment
On July 4, 2008 Mercedes-Benz ushered in the dawn of a new era. The centre of competence for emissions-free commercial vehicles (known by its German acronym of 'KEN') has been expanded to become the Mercedes-Benz Production Competence Centre for Natural Gas Drive. With the formal opening of the new building, the company can push ahead with its aim of positioning natural gas powered vehicles in all segments.
When it was first established in October 1994, KEN was part of the Commercial Vehicles division. Since 2002 the centre has been part of the Vans division, as the largest projects from that time onwards involved vans. At that time the predecessor of today's Sprinter was manufactured there with a monovalent natural-gas engine.
The E-Class and the Econic are already being fitted with natural-gas engines at the Mannheim plant. With the opening of the new facility, they will be joined by the Sprinter and the B-Class. There is an impressively wide variety of models: up to 16 natural-gas variants of the Mercedes Sprinter, for example, will be available from the Mercedes-Benz Production Competence Centre for Natural Gas Drive. in Mannheim.
A gas-powered vehicle combines the benefits of environmental protection with efficiency and practicality. The advantages include a considerable reduction in emissions and noise, substantially lower maintenance costs and a large range when used in combination with the conventional engine.
The customer-driven concept of KEN is reflected in unit sales, which have grown exponentially since 1994. In 2003, 300 vehicles were sold while the planned figure for 2008 is 5,000, and the trend is upward.
