hi guyz.....i'm planning to replace the shocks for my car and was thinking to have something better,i'd like to have a moderate comfort ride and would like to improve handling as well. Any suggestions for brands and models? thanks :)

bilstein yellow n eibach spring .....or u can customize at Titan located at Pandan Mewah....

Jo said he'd like to have a moderately comfortable ride and would like to improve handling as well. Wouldn't bilstein yellows and eibach springs be on the harsh side?

As for Titans they are not that comfortable. Outright performance is alright. I had them on my 300CE. After a few times going back to them for tuning I still don't get the comfort that I wanted.

Ask Tom he has Titans on his E34

Foe E34.....Bilstein yellow n eibach is just fine for performance n comfort drive......

Biltein black a bit soft......

aiya, firm shocks, use bilstein B6 shocks with standard springs

or

upgrade the sway bars to bigger diameter..

guarante best handling.

Hi Poos,How about bilstein yellow shocks with standard springs? Would the ride be harsh?

I suggest you get the adjustable type of suspension for your set up. Comfort is a very subjective to decribe by individual.....

Or go to TT more often and ask those to give you a ride on what their set up feel like to you.:D :D

Been in Tom's E34 yesterday, he took me for a ride....what should I say...SUPERB!
Don't know about others..but it seems the TITAN are doing very good job for Tom's car....being lowered as much as Tom's car...couldn't believe fo what I feel...he drove me thru speed bump/uneven road....macam tak de ape2 jee...:)

Btw..it all comes with hefty price..:( ...even Tom himself admit that...not in pricing, but to get it fine tuning...sakit kepala woo...keluar masuk workshop 3-4 kali just to get it right for your like..and every tuning kena tinggal kereta sehari...imagine that...and Tom said for next, he will go for Bilstien yellow(PSS i guess...dun really know)....:)

dem combination of eibach pro-kit and black bilsteins just don't work on my car... personally, it feels too bouncy and sometimes makes me mabuk... ride quality worse than stock gen2... looks syiok but the ride sucks...

from my experiance...the worst sport spring for comfort was hotbits..but after i mate this spring wit boge turbo gas shocks.nothin beat this is set-up..

the main thing is the boge turbo gas.u can fit wit any sport spring.u will get the best of the both world comfort n better handling.try this.

eibach n boge is comfort.if u wnat more aggresive driving.go wit apex n boge..nice combi but not that slamming low slung..check the application on apex suspension..

b+g suspension r good too for the looks n comfort.handling a bit softer than eibach.but more comfort than eibach

McFir7,

Ada "boge turbo gas shock absorber" ke....? where can get it ? and how much please..., what color is it? black also..?

And on your last paragraph..., may I know what is "b+g suspension"?

Thanks...

hey, i m not a woman..

like i said, the best combination is go with Bilstein B8 with H&R springs with 30mm drop.. the car will handle like a cart with comfort..but very expensive; approx. RM4800.00

or

on tight budget, go for Bilstein B6 standard height but stiffer with oil&gas combination but NOT lowered springs, it will kill the ride..use standard springs..

using the bilstein black is rubbish !! with lowered springs, worse !! the asorber will last for 1 year max. if you use the Boge turbo gas with standard springs, then the ride is nice, just like from showroom..

my best advise..

by the way, bilstein black is oil not gas..standard oem for boge oil asorber..

Also your advise on thicker antiroll bars is fantastic. Had an old Nissan with wallowy suspension. After going for Hotbits antiroll bars the car had great handling with ride comfort intact.

Thanks Poos! It's B6 and standard springs for me!

Hi,

Agreed with Pussy, eibach n bilstein HD is not workable. I experience it n now changed to stock springs with bilstein HD.

Looking at eibach n bilstein yellow in the near future..

best rgds.
