jo-e34;444720 said:bro lowboosting, most of us here dont do the engine swap ourselves we send it to workshops for these kind of conversions to be carried out,so we might not be able to answer most of your questions in depth.
but basically its like this, get a half cut from which ever relevant jz series, secondly get the jz series into the engine bay of bimmer, third u'll need to fabricate the mountings for the jz series engine to be mounted onto the original bimmer cross member mounting,as for the shifter placement i guess the e34s & e36s should be just nice,i've seen a few e34s and e36s which is done up very neatly, and as for the wiring, well can't help u here cos i've got zero knowledge on this.

lol......they are just turning to the darker side of Force Induction......and i'm glad to hear that the local yakuzas.....are expanding........
hey bro black, can bring ur realthing 2jz the next time we meet?would really want feel the proper tuned realthing.....of the jz series.....
bro locally we've got e46s and a handful of e39s with 1jayzee and the e36 video you posted,i personally luv the f20c which he did previously, looking at the tacho overshooting now thats.....orgasm.....
e34+2j...? well bro schrolll,i've seen it being done and running smooth, and there's an e30+1 jayzee vvti manual coming up soon.
Well to be honest with you schrolll, why ppl tend to choose the regular 1jayzee TT and not the 2jz or the vvti,is that, its the fairest of them all in terms of pricing......u cant get a better deal of 200whp with just a few grand, and futhermore the roadtax anually for a 3 litre would be like close to 2k wheareas for a 2.5 litre it costs not even exceeding half of what u are paying for a 3.0 well i might sound a lil cheapsket here but the 1k++ difference can make a lot on the long run.
For example,after a few years of savings i'll be seeing a 300-400whp potential gt2 smoking......bimmer.....on a straight that is....
and besides that u can still have a wolf under the wool.......with a 1jayzee top as camouflage......
No prob lowboosting.......make sure u give us an update on your progress.....would luv to see the outcome of your soon to be monster......
schrolll;445440 said:after all the consideration......i will looking for the 1jz vvti 2500 turbo (A)......
i'm driving e34 525 24v.........so the r/tax still the same.....he he he.....just worry about the "ngam" or not for the axel?......that all......
5 phone call, had been made today....."the searching is begin".......wakakakak......still didn't get yet....

hi bro scholl ....
i reply you msg here, coz i dont know to reply in that msg you send me kakaka
i hv no idea about 2jz ... as i didnt do homework on it, but i can tell is if you choose 4 socket 1jz halfcut(newer engine, diffrent CPU, and wiring. if not mistaken engine code should be 1jz91 onward), it's 40hp more compare with 5socket 1jz halfcut... which mean the hp is same as 2jz already, and 1jz piston is 1mm each smaller than 2jz(either 87/88 or 86/87). if the price is not much diffrence i will go for 2jz(market price nowdays 1jz is only 1k-2k cheaper than 2jz), only thing is the roadtax lor... but i think i market alot of runner can convert your 2jz roadtax to 1jz price with just a little touch up.
as for vvti 1jz is a single CT12A turbine and variable timing system, fuel economy wise surely very good, but as for power wise, dunno??!!! you fast change then testing testing with us la haha, only thing is the engine is fly high expensive in market now...
if you not a kind of ppl who like to modify so much maybe you can go for it, if you are hardcore ppl i think maybe you can consider 1jz or 2jz normal and modify to a bigger single turbine, end up the price will almost same as 1jz vvti but you will get much much more..
example : 1jz or 2jz(3.5k to 5.k) + turbine (1k) + banana (1.3k) + wastegate (500) + ecu (1.8k) = 300++hp on wheel
(you need to spend is approx 9.6k to 11k for the parts and halfcut, and workmanship, wiring, intercooler, piping, and etc modify part is the same no matter vvti or non vvti )
1jz vvti (7k to 9.5k) = 240 or lesser on wheel
(you need to spend approx 8k just for the halfcut itself, and the rest cost is just like above, but only give you stardard 'kick'.)
anyway it's just my 2cents la hehehe:wink:

j-e34, i heard u mention the big and small socket how do you differentiate it?
i guess mine is the older version cos i got it from jzx90 halfcut....which means i'm probably.....running with 200whp only..... any good lobang for e manage blue? do i need to replace the standard fuel pump if i intend to boost up with a piggy back?
schrolll, are u looking for the half cuts yourself or the workshops are seeking it for you? if u are doing it yourself i guess u better let the workshop do the hunting it'll save u some trouble.....besides if anything happens to the turbine or any not so good parts the workshop would be kind enough to replace them if they are the one who provide the half cut to you, especially if u are going for vvti they are known for their famous turbine breakdown from the half cuts......do have some cash standby for this part......and bro....welcome abroad to the darker dark side of Force Induction......boost is very addictive......u'll be back for more.....
guyz any idea on whats the range of a 2jz engine kosong nowadays....?

i see the advertisement at MUDAH.MY....is it reasonable or not bro? n can it fit to e34?
Toyota Aristo 2JZGTE Twin Turbo Auto 1/2 Cut for sale. Owner paid RM9,000 for it, for a conversion project but decided against it due to sudden overseas work assignment. Engine starts and runs very well. Also included in the sale is a 1JZ 'kosong' engine which he purchased for RM1,500.
Owner wants RM7,500 for both 1/2 cut & the kosong engine. Call to view at my work place at Autochild Sdn. Bhd. No.1, Jalan PJS 7/19, Bandar Sunway, PJ.
wanna take a look today or tomorrow....but just thinking where to stock the 1jz "kosong"....he he he...
