let's start with the below again with more details....

1) tkk - 520i + 1jz (non-vvti + auto)
2) jo-e34 - 525i + 1jz (non-vvti + manual)
3) rtgp - E34 + 1jz (non vvti + auto)
4) j-e34 - 520i + 1jz (non vvti + auto)
 
yea...that would be a great idea.....i thought of getting a dyno reading for the standard stock.......which shop would be recommended?
suggestions?
 
Anyway, i use togo GT Auto... those 2 bosses are close to me... maybe can give better discount if we can go with big gang bang for dyno reading hahah
 
good idea though....since bryan did mentioned that we can refer to them for haltech interceptor.....product might as well get a base dyno there and later go back for more mods....:D

Hello guys I am in the US and have a 525. I was wondering how you guys had the mounts made for the 1jz engine, what did you use for the transmission crossmember, and how does the shifter line up with the opening in the car?

Thanks for any help. Also how much should I look to spend on this swap?
 
bro lowboosting,most of us here dont do the engine swap ourselves we send it to workshops for these kind of conversions to be carried out,so we might not be able to answer most of your questions in depth.

but basically its like this,get a half cut from which ever relevant jz series,secondly get the jz series into the engine bay of bimmer,third u'll need to fabricate the mountings for the jz series engine to be mounted onto the original bimmer cross member mounting,as for the shifter placement i guess the e34s & e36s should be just nice,i've seen a few e34s and e36s which is done up very neatly,and as for the wiring,well can't help u here cos i've got zero knowledge on this.
