I am a newbie and have this problem - when the engine is still hot/warm car cranking but difficult to start even though have been driven for a few minutes.Need to crank a few times at a longer period and pump/press the accelarator pedal- and hold/depress the pedal for a few seconds once it started otherwise engine shudders and dies off.Lately this has becomes serious.Morning starts no problem.Dear sifus/forummers - your comments n suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have the same issue but not too often. Normally when this happens, it takes 2 long cranks along with pressing the accelerator and it will start but at a slow pace. Cold starts are not a problem as I normally start the car in the morning using my remote as I let it warm up before I use the car. Could be tuning?

Tuning done. My pomen said it could be due to faulty fuel pump or the 2 sensors at the front of the engine.......dont know their name.Change 2nd hand ones n was slightly ok for a months only ......
then problem comes again.

happen to me for my e39, i changed the crankshaft and camshaft sensors. after that everything is good.

happen to my e30, solved by failure of fuel pump relay.

thanks bro, any idea where can i get it ?.......try 2nd hand 1st 4 trial n error.

btw, where does it located in the engine compartment ?

Dunno whether the M30 engines comes with cam and crankshaft sensor.. Maybe fuel pump, Airflow sensor??

i got it from optimum. the workshop located at sg kayu ara. near one utama. i also got 2nd hand relay to replaced mine. only rm15 they charged me. so far the car got no prob to start.
btw, the relay is near to the computer box. it is white in colour for e30. i dont know what colour in e32. maybe the same. i also changed computer box relay for rm15. hope this help as i dont know how to explain where is the relay situated :top:

thanks a lot to tay and others for ur guidence n sharing ur xperiences.:top:

Two weeks ago had my thermosensor/switch changed . Also changed the rubber hose that connect the fuel regulator to the metal fuel pipe ( 'cos it was out of shape - kemek ! ).The resulting changes give me better acceleration/pick-up on take off. I am very happy ..........my ride no more lazy !

if you haven't changed your fuel pump in the past few years, better change that a.s.a.p
