Need Help, E30 difficult to start.

What i did, open the stering column, buy 1 new push button switch. Get 2 new wire, try contacting both new wires by attaching of each 1 of the new wire to one of the 7 wires at the key switch barrrel (can't remember which wire colour, try and error), but ensure key put in start position. And now you start push button switch just like some of the scooter/kapcai/motorcub etc, sorry have no picture.

Or.. you can "bang" the stering column for a kick start. Sometimes it work.

Just curious, will a weak or failing timing sensor (aka pulse sensor) also contribute to hard starting?.

A mechanic told me that this could also cause hard starting (need a few cranks to start car) if the sensor is weak. Anyone can confirm this?

Finally after 8 months of plug n plays to replace whatever .......... :cry:
My warm start problem found .......n it lies inside my fuel tank....
it's my fuel pump.... :blink:
This pump has been replaced just before i took over from the previous owner.

Problem : The pump is together with the damper could'n hold the fuel inline when it is warm. So need to crank few times for it to achieve the pressure needed. :yahoo:

Cost of repair: 1) Cop Shop Fuel pump RM 120.00 (after 2 weeks hunting)
2) Labour : D.I.Y. with 3 cans of chill tiger.
3) Time : 30min.

Hope this would be helpfull.

cntan - Any progress in your UDM?
Check your fuel pump as well.

FYI:
M40 91 fuel pump - new 1 cost RM7++.oo.
