E 36 - max speed

Shhhh, our secret. But the last I heard, the new owner busted the engine and changed to a "normal" M50B25TU.... sad. Had such fun with that car, sigh.

And now I am itchy again...

I have beemer year 93. I just curios if the speed 60km top uphills and decreasing even after using S button down to 40km. I felt shy when even a kancil can cut me uphills but if its stright and down hills ok lah. Also, how to close the vent from outside air manually. Mine auto i think faulty. Advised me would be appreciated.

did 220 in my old M40 engine in k.l sepang hghway. now S50, 220 easy, but never seen the limit cause sarawak don't have a long stretch road. only vary long road with millions of pot holes and patching tars and that "god-damn-that-was-a-big-hole!" pot holes ah.... it reminds me how great and thankful I am to the Sarawak Prime Minister. When I first got my car, I needed a long deserted stretch of straight road because it was difficult to steer at high speed; I could only aim it in the general direction of the horizon and hang on.

After much loving refurbishment (steering rack, camber kit, suspension, xbrace, good tires, good brakes, ad nauseum), the 328 is now agile and responsive, whatever the speed.

So, go only as fast as your car's condition would safely allow.

mine 318 max 190 kmh after long time and help of slight downhill 195 kmh, hovever i managed to drive from penang juru tol to damansara toll ( 320 km) in 1hour 59 minute and 56 seconds , average speed 160 kmh i know the road very well used drive there every week , remember what corner to take in what speed along the highway and i belief before going all out for max speed the most important thing to do is to know the road condition.

hey bro. im driving 328, ive reached 255km/h once. quite fast, n quite scary. hehe. i did it on the LEKAS highway. cheers!

a week before raya,while i was travelling from kuantan going back to kl..was doing around 130kmh and suddenly 3 e46 bimmers overtook me..all in black colours..the next thing i did was 'flloor it' and try to keep up with them..after i managed to keep up to them,i was doing 235kmh tailing those 3 bimmers..when they noticed that i was tailing them,they trid to go faster and so did and my speed at that time was 240++ km/h damn..it was fast!!! few minutes after that,we were pulled over by police roadblocks and i was fined for rm300..hahaha but it was really worth my 300 bucks to know that my 12 years old car can still go that fast..

morale of the story: dont go fast unless ur willing to pay for it..and dont go fast during ops sikap..hahahahaha

Hahaha... reminds me of my experiance... only i kena 3 traps during ops sikap the night of chinese new year last year... Yong Peng, Pagoh & Tangkak... RM900.00.. ouch!!

Be aware of Malaysian roads, BMW's can easily go 200+ as German roads are built for them. But can Malaysian roads support pushing BMW's to the max? Only the expressway I suppose.

i actually find the NS highway quite nice to push at high speeds ...
