Hi mate, I have looked at it a few times now, and after looking around, i'm satisfied with the great condition but what's your actual price for it. I love a bargain, so i would like to get it as soon as i can. I would be able to make payment through PayPal, i find it the easiest way to use my credit card safely and is a safe and reliable method of payment... Let me know your price for it . I hope to hear from you soon, and i will make all transportation preparations for the it to be transported to my home in London,UK. If possible can you send me some recent picture or video of the item ?

Below is my address:

Name : Imran Hassan
Address: 9B the Orchard

In the meantime a check on this "John James" email on google yielded interesting results. Seems that he's been around quite a bit, so i landed him this one in response to the so called legal threat from Paypal received earlier:

I got an email from Paypal, threatening legal action. Why, John, Why? I thought we had such a good thing going, what with you being a Pundaa Mavane and Cuni Walker all rolled up into one! * sobs *

Here i am, wanting to send you money and PayPal is after me! Throw me a bone here, mate. Send me some documentation so i can wire $$$ to you ASAP!

Please respond immediately, or i'll have to refund the money to Mr G. Gekko of the Children's Fund.

Cheers.

Thanks for your mail...I am in trouble with Paypal and the shipping agent. Please remit the shipping charges immediately.

Dear John (did i just type this? LOL)

Strange that Paypal is leaning hard on you and it makes me wonder why they would want to threaten me as well. Anyhoo, i think Pundaa has developed a 'thing' for Emmanuel Wong, and wants to pay him a visit. Kinda strange, as Pundaa doesn't even know him but somehow feels connected or rather wants to be 'connected'. Maybe your 'Cuni Walker' is emitting vibes, but this sort of thing is way beyond me i guess. Pundaa is a huge guy, and i hope that Mr Wong would be able to sufficiently "accomodate" him in England especially where the sun don't shine, as i hear it can get pretty gloomy over there.

Anyway, got I got cool cash here for you. Its so cool it wears shades and rides a Harley.

Happy dreams, mate

I sent this one to the fake Paypal wankers...

Dear Mr Williams,

I have been in contact with Mr James, and have explained matters with regard to the outgoing of funds here. I expect him to furnish me with information required for the same and to update you about the latest developments.

Thank you.

Regards,

Sorry for hijacking your thread. Just want to share a similar experience.
There are 3 persons who replied to my ad and they are from overseas.
All wanted to use Paypal to pay for the transaction.

xeto, the IP you got is similar to the one i tracked down. The one i got was 89.238.153.2 and based in the USA and i am very sure the crook is bouncing the IP off different servers or using an anonymous proxy server.

My received IP:
Hostname : 89.238.153.2
ISP : M247 Ltd
Organization : Open Hosting Ltd
Proxy : Suspected network sharing device. (indicator of a proxy server)
Type : Unknown
Assignment : Static IP

Max, did you get the same IP range as well?

After throwing all sorts of movie references and psycho-psychedelic babble, looks like the crook still hadn't caught on, which led me to think that maybe he's a bit isolated from this sort of thing. So time to change track a bit but first, one final testing of waters...

Thanks for your mail...As I have proceed with the payment, you have to follow PayPal Instruction in the payment confirmation email sent to you from PayPal order to receive the whole money into your account and avoid legal action.

Dear John (whoops i did it again!)

Robbie Robot paid me a visit just now, screaming "Danger, Will Robinson!" Although he got my name wrong, i think he's trying to tell me something. He's all heart, that chap. :)

Pundaa's been walking around with a big grin and a tub of Vaseline, as well as Airline tickets to London. He just got them off Expedia (the tickets i mean) so i think he and Wong should be 'bonding' pretty soon. "Like glue?" I asked. "Something like that, lots of glue, lots of glue" replied Pundaa, waggling his eyebrows. Sometimes i just don't know about this guy.

In any case, i asked him to liaise with Wong as to how we may do this shipping thing. Its for the children, you understand. We must always think of the children.

Cheers!

Bro, very thankful for your thread. Helps us to be aware of such elaborate scams. People always thought that making & receiving payment via Paypal would be a safe and pleasant experience, but end up, they feel afraid when such 'threatening' emails start pouring in. And due to inexperience, they would succumb to it and do whatever's being told, since they thought it's under the guise of Paypal, and some sort of https in the URL making it seem like a secure transaction.

The thing that really triggers the alarm bells for me is the part where they seriously insisted on you sending a scanned copy of the Western Union form. Don't ask me how they will manage to siphon your funds away when they only have your name and amount from the form... You see, a friend of mine got conned when he decided to buy a whole lot of cheap Nokia phones on ebay 5 years ago. *sighs* Got conned and lost money. Even lodged a police report but of course, to no avail.

Morale of the story is that we must always be vigilant. And I'm sorry if I'm being highly critical here, but ever since that sour experience, I've been strongly put off by Western Union. :stupid:

Give than conman a taste of his medicine Beserkdroid. :top:

These scumbags have been doing this scam n the UK for years now, it's becoming as notorious for this scam as Nigeria is for 419, probably because the british never bother to crack down on it. Nice to see them get jerked around.

Reminds me of another one I read about:

Bro, that's an interesting read. Really made my day when the intended victim managed to con the conman! :D

Kudos to you for scamming the conman!

There are entire websites dedicated to scamming 619 scammers. Just do a search on google. They are worth a read just for laughs :top:

The google search on John's email really showed some interesting results.. but compare to what I see here is by far the best! :top:

Well after thinking that a standard reply would be given, i was quite surprised to receive this. Looks like the standard of english had dropped suddenly in the second and final sentences, whereas the rest is the usual copy & paste. Did the imminent arrival of Pundaa trigger some sort of panic?

Thanks for your mail...Mr Emmanuel Wong not in Uk now. You must complete the transaction by sending the money to the shipping agent through western union and email the western union receipt to PayPal Customer care email in order to receive the whole money into your account. Please is important to complete as Paypal is holding payment.

On 9/7/10, I wrote:
Hi John,

I don't really know when Pundaa will be going over, but this does present a dilemma because if Mr Wong is not around to receive the money, then how will you be able to conclude the transaction? To be perfectly honest with you i won't be able to release the Engine unless payment is received, I'm sure you understand.

I told Pundaa about this and he is greatly disappointed. He was looking forward to meeting up with Mr Wong, but he says that he won't mind meeting up with you instead to sort out the shipping issues and introduce you to a whole new world of male bonding. Perhaps we can sort this out soon?

Cheers!

Yes, i did try to reverse scam him later, but it was more of an afterthought and so i didn't really plan for it. I just wanted to jerk him around and extract his modus operandi and style as these were later sent to PayPal, the London Met and the FBI..

In the meantime, i got this reply from the REAL Paypal to an earlier query where i had forwarded one of the fakes to them.
