Dension 500 or BMW ipod interface?

Has anyone install the Dension 500 gateway or the BMW Ipod interface on their E60 (my car does not have a navi or CDC but have a CDC port and Aux In) . My question is, does the i drive show the list of songs as per the ipod. I was told that with the Dension 500 you will get a better sound. The dealer quoted me at RM 2,400.00 inclusive of installation. Anyone ? ........
