Dear All,Was browsing BMW cars at mudah.my and came across a 118i @ RM64K http://www.mudah.my/BMW+118i+A+-20437013.htm. The seller intentionally put in a non working mobile number. I knew the advert is from a con-man and decided to email the seller and came the following reply....+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++FROM: topics@joinindustry.com; on behalf of; Mark Royston Sylvester Just saw your interest , Still available,100% perfect conditions , no accidents, the engine is in perfect condition ,nothing wrong with it , other are the reasons of urgent selling.Fully paid, no lien/loan or any outstanding debts. • From the begining to be more then clear is a Very URGENT Sell in short time ,Not Long-terms expenditure.Asking Total/Final OTR-Nett-Amount payable : RM64,000.00 [also FREE :duties, shipping fees,Puspakom inspection , JPJ (JPJK3) ,to complete the ownership transfer on your name, already paid so-called "middle man" (Motor Insurance Agent of the Ship Company) RM500 for such a transfer ,RM100 postal order ,my presence is not needed as i signed a form to assign a third party on behalf me].What will be in Buyer charge : insurance policy and Road tax , beside this aspects will NOT have to pay anything else to have it legal on your name transferred.• Reason to sell : Due to my offshore drilling work , away from land , it doesn’t make much sense to keep the car , i rarely use – and the payments that go with it -either i'm caught in the middle of very important personal events that force me to let it go and have a little time at my disposal to sell it .Again I want to point out that i am looking for a smooth&fast selling without delays. So those are the reasons i decided to lower the price, to avoid wasting my time with negotiations and to have a customer more then soon.• The delivery will be door-to-door so you will not have to pick up in any port and go thru all that hassle. Also most important , it will be available a Return Policy: 7 business Days of Inspection, test drive made by buyer or any AUTHORISED SERVICE , before any payment will be released to me. It appears the car can't be found physical , in the region posted under my pseudonym/nick name , as I moved with my job in Semporna , besides, I had taken the car with me in Semporna and right now is Held In Warehouse of a Shipping Company from here , ready only for a delivery ,as nothing goes to the port that is not already loaded into a container, sealed along with all documents and cleared from Duties. Due to my work schedule I can't conclude this transaction personally because my Offshore Drilling Job Type involves a minimum 30days on and 30days off departure on the sea, currently located at one of Oil & Gas industry rig from Semporna .To enlarge my perspectives and reach local customers, i listed only into the state where you saw it , is certified there.• I have a single request : kindly , let me know if you have available the full amount in cash for purchase ? If you are interested to know the process how to own it,reply soon , my suggest , as is fair to inform that i communicate with others too . As such price i can not keep it so much , although if i didn't have financial problems i would sell it at higher price.

Thanks Herbert...saw a few questionable adverts in Mudah as well. Better be safe than sorry...

..im curious to know, how these con - morons, works after someone is attracted by such adverts?? I mean, does potential customer do some homework and check everything before money is considered??

They dont claim the full price of the car, normally when the car has 'arrived' there will be some 'unpaid charges' that needs to be paid. Someonw who sounds legitimate will call you, probably from the port authority or customs or whatever asking you to pay the charges to release the car. Once paid, you'll never hear from these guys again.

Mudah.com being around for so long now, cant they screen better on their incoming ads? Im sure they are more than familiar...

I read somewhere that they don't really care. Buyer need to be really careful when buy stuff there.

Not only in mudah.my that has this type of con-morons. I found one in mycarlist.com.my
