hi guys,Do anyone have a same experince like me, my check engine indicator suddenly flased out when I start my engine and the engine power was reduced. So before continuing I checked the owners manual and it showed the picture along with "if image is red stop engine and contact BMW service" "If yellow power will be reduced, car is safe to drive but contact BMW service ASAP". I plan to bring my car to AB for diagnostic, the worst is my car warranty just finished and I afraid the cost will be boom to me. Any idea guys???

impossible to advice you without knowing the cause of the check engine light...best bring it to AB, find out whats wrong but do not authorise any repairs without a estimate. So if its too high, u can always bring it to another workshop for 2nd opinion

mine one also got that light on simultaneously with the alert that my engine oil level minimum and please top up 1 lt at the next opportunity..i called AB and they said it need to be service asap.

Collect my car this morning at AB. The problem is with the engine sensor motor (not sure what is the correct word) and the good news is they willing to absorb the cost and I only have to pay for labour work. Actually my car warranty run ot last year but still under BSRI until end of this year, If you guys have a same problem with me just go straight to your authorised workshop.

Thank Schwepps and Ryou with your good advise.
